KoalaCowboy
I submitted my Application a few days ago, how long does it take to get a reply back??? Not to be a pain in the ass but I feel as though I should pay my "dues" Thanks John I would say you should hear from them within 7 - 10 days. Then you will get an email from them. If you haven't already 'paid' the annual dues, you will be given an opportunity to do so via PayPal. The Crew are pretty quick nowadays... Last year when I originally signed up, it took about 2-1/2 months to finally get my membership packet. This year, when I renewed it took about 7 days total time, once I got my renewal email. - - KoalaCowboy

Firefinder
I officially became a member a couple of weeks ago. My initial application was sent in a couple of months ago, but there is a very extensive background investigation that must take place before you are approved. A team of folks will be asking your neighbors, friends, employer, etc. about your character, integrity, ability to control your ...temper...tongue...drinking...smoking...illegal drugs...trigger pull, etc. If you fail in any of these areas, your application will be approved....good luck. Falcon
Here is the official info from our very own Tribal Council Membership lady, judirika. If you email her with your information, she'll be able to give you an answer. The Mike she is speaking of is our very own lstresrt. I normally send out a email to everyone when it is time to renew. My outlook still isn't repaired and I haven't sent out email renewals for the past 2 months. That is why we have the other backup systems as Mike mentioned. My experience has been that about 1/2 of the renewal reminder emails bounce back since people tend to change their email addresses a lot. That is why Mike puts a reminder in the Smoke Signals and later sends out a hard copy. When you email the application to membership, please double check and make sure that your email address is correct. I do not get a forward with your email address, so I do not have a way to verify your email address. It's only after Paypal tells me that an email has bounced back I know I have a bad address but Paypal doesn't note whose it is (it's just a generic response). Since I may do a bunch of payment requests at a time it hard to tell which one especially if it takes a while for several people to pay through Paypal. And then some members will decide to send a check instead and I don't know until the check actually shows up. Every couple of months, if I have email applications that have not paid via check or Paypal, I too, mail out a letter to the member saying I emailed them a Paypal request but they didn't respond. I include return, self addressed envelope in case they still want to join or renew their membership and couldn't get Paypal to work for them to make it painless as possible to mail back a check. I do respond to all emails regarding membership even if there might be a short delay. I have been delayed this past month sending out the cards because I was waiting for some materials from our roadside assistance provider. They didn't send exactly what I was expecting so I didn't wait and sent what information I had anyway with the membership cards. We want everyone to do a complete application each time you renew so I CAN verify addresses, VIN numbers, etc. I know it is a pain but it really helps us keep our roster updated. I need to have your phone numbers in case I need to call you. Some members will attest that I have called them for more information. If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to email me. You can reach me through membership@ironindian.com. If I am not available for a period of time, Mike backs me up with a response. I don't want to miss anyone, so please feel free to nag!
