Welcome John! You are in the right place. There are a few things you need to look for with your Power Plus.First thing is to make sure you have an updated oil pump.Check with Blackhawk Motors about it.It's something you will want to do right off. Then go and read some of the threads in the PP100 section. You'll find some great info on your bike there. Then just get out and ride it like you stole it.

There's an unwritten rule here that anyone new needs to post pictures.Us women here prefer the men's shots to show as much skin as possible!Don't worry about me as I'm with Vintage#144(aka 02ISR) but some of us,I mean them, like to see what you look like!

Also you will need to wash my bike and get me a cold beer newbie! :Beer-Chug[1]:

Welcome to the board.  As a person who is somewhat new to the forum let me say that you won't find better support for your bike than here.  If you haven't been to Homers Website yet I recommend you bookmark it.  He's got some good reference material.  (To include your oil filter question.)

As far as to what needs to be watched.  The common issues that I have seen on the board (and experience myself) have been the starter relay, the starter, and oil pump.  Then there's the whole engine rebuild thing.  You may need it and you may not (but you probably will).  If you get to that point then I wouldn't trust the rebuild to anyone but the big 3 that are mentioned here.  (I'm about to deliver mine for a rebuild shortly.)

Welcome aboard and don't be shy to ask questions.  This is the place to post them.

Shame on you WD!  Taking advantage of a newbie like that.  Isn't that "picture thing" being covered under a seperate thread?  You little instigator.    :SmackBottom:

John:  Don't get suckered into that whole picture thing.  Though she is right about washing the bike and beer.  Sorry, there's nothing I can do about that.  Rules are rules.  So after your done with WD's mine will be next.  Oh, and as far as the beer goes, I don't like that domestic stuff.  I'll take a German import if you please.

And several of us need fresh drinks...so work on that too.. have your woman ready, cuz she'll be on her knees alot....

welcome and WD is right there are rules...but the naked pics and beer fetching only applies to the fender bunnies or biker chick wannabee's....LOL

but since you are a dude...you can send a pic of your woman instead.  Now get Wind Dancer a beer so she can serve it cold to 02ISR.... :Cheers[1]:

Welcome jag1046... you'll find this a great spot for all the resources about your newly purchased '03 Roadmaster...

But only the women that hang around here are allowed to wash my Chief and fetch me beer's..

Come sit down next to me and learn how to keep them inline.. Once in awhile they stray and need some retrain'in

and a whipping....these women like that shit...to be whipped that is....

Welcome...

A pirate walks into a bar and has a big steering wheel protruding from his crotch!

He walks up to the bar and says" Arrrrr, I'll be havin' some rum".

The bartender pours a glass of rum, looks at the steering wheel and says " hey captain, I don't know if you know this, but there is a steering wheel attatched to your groin".

The pirate looks at the wheel and says to the bartender "Aye...Its drivin' me nuts". :pirate1:

OOOpps...Isn't this the joke section?

Welcome aboard bud.

The first thing you need to do is purchase a 113" S&S motor instead of wasting money on your PP.

And while yer down there.... Fetch me a beer. Newbie  :Spanish:

Hey John,

A big congratulations to you on the purchase of your Roadmaster and welcome to the zoo.  Do not pay any attention to anything anyone says on here ... except for Wind Dancer, because the rest of them are nuts!  She's the only one you can believe around here.  LOL.   ???

As for information about your bike, I can't help you there.  I ride a 2000 Millennium Chief and I'm still trying to tame him!

Oh, and about posting your pic ... yes, lots of skin IF you're in good shape, otherwise, just the bike will do!!  LOL!!

Good choice on purchasing an Indian.  I just love it when everyone walks past those Hardley's to come over and say, "Just GOTTA see that Indian!"  If you like attention, you've got the right ride!!  Oh, and you will definitely glean lots of valuable info here regarding your bike ... lots of crap too!   :rotfl:  Hope you have thick skin ... you'll need it!

Again, welcome.  Always glad to have another Indian rider on the road!   :;):
