From talking with DW, I am confident Indian will produce again.  After knowing about his conversation with Posie and Frank, along with the fact TH has FINNANLY created a fuel injection system, I am confident they will use the P+100.  There, I’ve said is so if it doesn’t come to pass within 24 months, feel free to throw the egg and rotten vegetables.  I still have faith and believe in the man and his plan and since meeting him face to fact, I stand by him.  Ride safe.   :pirate1:

Wasn't fuel injection offered in the 2003 Indian parts catalog?

Yes but the great engineers at IMCOA had the rider using a 30 cc syringe and a injection loc on each cylinder.... :rotfl:

We should all keep in mind what cat Frank let out the bag at IRIP2,

(paraphrased) We’re currently testing a stoker for the P+100 that would make it 110 c.i..  We will not release it until we are completely satisfied it is a good product but it could be ready as soon as October… all current testing has shown this to be a heck of a motor with a night a day difference from the stock one.

For those of you that couldn’t make it, I though you’d like to know.

Who knows what kind of engine they will have, all we DO know is that it will have all of that emissions junk on it. In 2006 the EPA curse will be in effect and that means that any new bike will have to meet the new regs.  :eyebrow:

They havent released anything but pipe dreams so far! I know how about releasing information that shows there'e actually a headquarters office with paid staff who work for Indian , or a Factory with paid staff who work for Indian , throwing around dreams of gold at the end of the rainbow is what the Gilroy crew did , ahhh , but wait , they had a factory , a headquarters and they actually had bikes , bikes that they dreamed up !

Stellican wants Gilroy bikes to start the company , with all they're millions of dollars they cant find a bike or two to work on? Possibly hiring an "engineer" might make sense , a "design" team , maybe a "chief mechanic" , they dont have any staff other than Dave ! I dont mean Stellican staff either , Audax was a similiar company , they knew the name would make them money win or lose , Audax came out ahead! There are thousands of brokerages looking for a freebee!

That would be like Ray Kroc owning the name McDonalds , no restraunts ,no burgers , no fries , no employees , no marketing , no sales  and saying Im gonna be a zillionaire , well he became one , but when he got the idea he hustled , these guys didnt even have to come up with the idea and they are far from hustling , maybe hustlin is the right word !

Sorry, I think its great that Dave showed up at IRIP but he did so like the rest of us , as a vacation , I hear he is a member of the IIRA and he owns a Chief , so he is one of us in a way!

Harley told thier people, earlier this year, that 2008 was gonna be the last year for th' twin cam. Sumthin' new on th' horizon. I think th' air cooled engine is a thing of th' past. But, just so ya don't take my thoughts as an omen, I held Enron stock. Anybody wanna buy some high dollar toilet paper ?

Soon you will see the V-Rod engine in the Electra Glides... very soon.

And then they will work their way into every Harley line.

Now, brother, don’t get me wrong.  I hear exactly what you are saying and I respect it.  Really, up to this point, all Stellican / IMC have giving us is hopes and dreams.  I still have faith and others don’t but that is another thread.  What I’d like to clarify for you is that Frank Aliano spoke about the P+ storoker to 110 c.i., not David Wright.  Frank is developing this, with Posie I think (but not sure), on his own and independent from Stellican / IMC.  That’s not to say he won’t market it to IMC as an upgrade but he talked as if it was his baby.  Since Frank spoke about it, as his baby, and he has been a focal point for keeping our 02-04 Indian Chiefs on the road , has been very upfront with his knowledge, and his respect for all of us he has won my confidence and respect many times over.  This is why I put additional weight to the stroker, because Frank said it and for no other reason.  Ride safe.

Gilroy started (The first 3 years, 100%. the last 2 years 80%) by ordering parts out of a catalog. It is a whole other world when you are building something with original parts.

Anyone can buy parts off of a shelf and bolt the parts together. Putting together a supply chain of original parts is another story. It’s a hell of a lot more work.

And no, they can’t just go to the people who supplied Gilroy. Some were crap, as we know and some may not want to deal with “Indian” again.

Stellican has not owned the IP for a year yet, they still have 2 months to go to hit that mark.

But then again, we may still get lucky. Maybe they will sell the IP to John White and crew. They would have bikes to Market fast.

Yep, I agree.

The only reason this EPA shit is coming our way is because the motor company hasn't taken a stand and spent their hard earned money to protect the v-twin. Why?

Because they are stupid or they are very smart. They know they can put a ton of aftermarket engine companies in disarray and decrease all the aftermarket HD crap, which they probably see as dollars in their pockets.

And their upper management are a bunch of pussies that are only worried about the bottom dollar these days.

Fuck 'em!

I read an article from HD about a year and a half ago.  They SUPPORTED the new legislation.  IMHO it was to squash the competition.  Anytime, it seems, that you want something done to your bike, and do not return to the dealer for it, you’re in violation of the law.  These money grubbing FOC’s just want the stock price to rise.  THAT is why this law passed and no one, not the average joe anyway, was non the wiser.  HD wanted it that way.  Now they are doing the “quite pipe” campaign but I’m not entering that debate on this thread.  HD had the size and funds to stop this but chose not to because of their pocket book.  Just like when they hired Elton John, they have lost touch with old customer base.  They now market to high dollar executives and brainwashed people with think it’s HD and nothing else.  The people who did not fight for our rights to chose helmets or not, who may not fully understand the passion when riding down the highway at 80 mph, or who would not even think about riding in the rain because it would “mess up their hair”, that is HD customer base now, just blind mice feeding corporate greed because they don’t know any better.  That is why their will NEVER be another HD in my garage. EVER!   Ride safe, ride FREE!   :1106:

Seems to me I heard something about the McDonald's empire... the original guys couldn't handle the management..they sold it out to a guy whom had the management ability to make it as successful as it should be.

Actually, i belive Gilroy proved that wrong.

sure, anyone can order parts, but it apparenty takes more skill than Gilroy had to actually make a quality bike from a catalog.
