AMA Rapid Response Center

I was checking on my AMA Rapid Response Center page and ran across a Federal Helmet Law proposal.  I’m not here to start a war on wear or don’t wear because I am an advocate of choice and I wear or don’t depending on my mood (and Chicago’s weather) but since many were blindsided by the new EPA ruling, I felt obliged to inform the tribe.  Ride safe and protect thy brother.   :pirate1:

I'm with you man! :bthumb: Freedom of choice.

My wife gave me one recently; wear a helmet or don't buy the bike...and I was free to choose. :rotfl:

But seriously, to my government:  I pay my taxes, leave me the fuck alone-get out of my life.  I don't need you to legislate everything from helmets to how I wipe my ass.  Fuck off!!

I don't want my government to force me to do shit. Even if it saves me from myself. Fuck. I mean, ya know?

WI is tableing a bill right now that gives police the right to pull you over solely for not wearing your seat belt. Right now they can't. If you get pulled over for something and your belt isn't on, they can give you a "bonus" ticket.

Its just another possible law for them to poke their noses into our lives. And after careful consideration I say... This fucking sucks!  :bomb:

That's how the seatbelt law started in MI, as a secondary offense that could only be issued when pulled over for another offense.  They swore they had no interest in making it a primary offense, that they only passed the law as a safety measure.

Yep, same in Illinois. The tip of the wedge.

Each time an individual's freedom of choice is taken away, it impacts all of society.

A recent study showed that helmet wearing is up, that we have more safe and educated motorcycle rider's. Despite this, fatalities remain high. The cause, SUV's. More of them on the road which not only creates more serious crashes with auto's but also impacts greatly motorcycle rider's. It's simple, more higher, heavier vehicles = more damge. If I can figure out how to post it here I shall.

Freedom of Choice, Definately has my vote!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The last time I checked this is still America.  Land of the free home of the brave.  I believe every American has the right to make their own choices.  I also believe that each choice comes with a consequence.  If you are like me and take responsibility for my own actions, then it is a non-issue.  But it truly is the liberal mentality that American's are not smart enough to think for themsevles.  I for one will always stand up for my beliefs.  If you don't like my beliefs / opinions you as an American have every right to disagree.  But I have every right to speak it.  Same with the helmet laws, PA. just recently made wearing a Helmet optional.  I see approximately 20% of the bikers without a helmet. More power to them.  I wear one. (you never met my mother, the government has nothing on her).  Seriously, I choose to wear one, it is that simple.  The government needs not to be involved with it.....  God Bless America.... It still the Greatest Country in the World with all of its faults, and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else....

:unclesam:   :Cheers[1]:
