Dude's socialist sarcasm is condescending and boorish. Granted, I am one of those that believe not wearing a Helmet is not a good idea, but laws to protect ourselves from ourselves is indeed what big breother is all about. Noone has the right to  tell you how to  live your life, and it's irritating that big brother doesn't get it. :bomb:

Everyone should have to wear a helmet. How does an insurance company not make the insured wear a helmet and still cover them? You should not be able to get insurance if you dont wear a DOT approved helmet! And face serious jail time if caught without one. :veryangry:

Oh man, not this shit again.........................

If you want to wear the fucking helmet, wear it.

If you don't want to. leave it at home.

Will I visit states that have a helmet law ?

Not if I can help it.

Will I give them any of my hard earned American money

to spend the night in their hotels.

Not if I can help it.

Wake the FUCK up America, You are losing more and more rights every day.

It is time that we won a few back !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was going to stay out of this one BUT, I have been on 2 wheels the last 38 years and I have never ridden without a brain bucket. I actually am having a hard time getting comfortable wearing the small bucket. That said, I friggen hate the helmet law along with the seatbelt law, Not to mention the 65mph speed limit here in CA.

Whatever, comrade Beast/badcadd/or whoever you are...do me a favor, when your done with your rant, and reading the communist Manifesto, convincing yourself that socialism and altruism is really super while we march in grey uniform step all wearing the same black helmet temporarily because soon your rational will be that it's not enough to have a helmet, we need to ban those dangerous motorcycles all together, because you can get hurt and die and that's not fair to the insurance lobby, so take the guns, themotorcycles, the booze, cigerettes, poker, sex, drugs and rock n roll and replace it with grey and red.when your done, please, please keep your head in the sand alittle longer so we can chlorinate your gene pool

You suck.

There was a law on the floor of the California Assembly last year , that would have given Califorians the right to NOT wear a helmet , of course there was a caveat to that , if you didnt wear a helmut and wrecked (died) you automatically became a donor ! Well , Im a donor anyway , but my problem with the this donor program is that it uses the bikers in the state to force regulation , once this shit passes it would open the door for many more useless regulations!

Thank God it never passed!

The seat belt law is the tip of the wedge between our rights and big brother. Belts, like helmets, are good ideas, but law? Nope! Now they got "roadside safety checks". Yea, right.

One of these days, you will have a jack-booted dickhead coming into your bathroom to make sure you have your seat belt and helmet on while in your tub, with the non-slip surface.

Maybe I'm just getting old, but this future shock is rough to take.

It's why we stay vigilant on this stuff. Good idea or not, Coercion is unjust, and violates our bill of rights. Why can't people figure this out? :banghead:

Its a book called "Revenue:The easy way to make money" ,its required reading for all city managers, county supervisors and all elected officals!

This is about making money , not safety!

Maybe Mr. "Dick"erson at the Free Press needs to hear from some of us about this issue.  (His email addy is in the article.)

Not that I would condone this, but some "NICE" unsolicited messages filling his inbox would be interesting.....   :laughlong:

I think you should have to wear a helmet as well as a seatbelt. So if you disagree so be it. Hope I dont see your grey matter on the highway.

I prefer a helmet -

Even wore one back in Chicago -

But it should be a choice.

How's this -

$1,000 a year to register your bike and allow "No Helmet" -

That way - Not wearing a helmet would be status symbol -

And we could slowly eliminate all the wanna-be bad-ass posers -

Who crash on Mulholland...

Thanks, Danny
