porkchop
Looks like Dashole went down !! Edwards also lost his Senate seat to a Republican We have a possible 3 more Supreme Court judges to get confirmed in this next term. And a huge back log of federal judges to be confirmed. The Dems cannot hold out another 4 years on them. No way can't happen. A big reason Kerry was right when he said " This is the most important election of our lifetimes"
Guest_ikonboard
Oh good. About time they reinstate the draft. Arm your babies everybody! It's ass kickin' time! The only chance for that was with the Dem's. They wrote the bill and the only two to vote for it were Dem's. Thank God for the Rep's, they would only use it as a last resort. But then again it makes sense; Dem's do not understand how someone would go into war willingly to fight for someone other then themselves. They would have to draft their own to get their own out there. I also believe that we have a volunteer military. No one sends anyone or anyone’s babies out to fight. Adults make adult decisions to be involved. Adults made their own choice. No one had to join the service or the reserves. If you did not want to get called you did not sign the dotted line. If you thought the benefits looked good, well, you should have known that there is always a chance the favor your country did for you would get called. Lunchbox
I'm thinking that Kerry will concede before Dan Rather makes the call. Now there's some entertainment! Dan Rather? It will be a week or two, ...maybe a month before he will say it. Edwards is telling Kerry to hold off on conceding, Edwards wants to be sure all avenues have been looked at. Fucking lawyer, “How can we steal this election” is what he is saying.

Well, I would not go that far. Many more people showed up to vote this time. Regan had a much higher percentage. It's like with taxes, they try to say the rich got a bigger break but they did not. They did get more total dollars back but they got less of a percentage back then they paid in. Remember, the government is NOT giving us money (unless you don't work), they are TAKING the money we earn. The government IS NOT a profit center. KC Cheef
Mark my words. America will regret this. Hi Little Danielle! No we won't--he's just doing what needs to be done, and should have been started during the Clinton years, and maybe even before that! Personally-I'm hoping he figures out a way to bring the UN to it's knees--they need it. What's up with you all? I keep trying to understand a Liberals point of view. Nearest I can figure you all out is that you are masochistic, paranoids! You like to get kicked in the nuts so you can complain! (Just a metaphor in your case, but you know what I mean) We still love ya little sister

Greg D AZman
OK, let's see where this takes us 4 years from now. Last Resort- since you are the stat guy here, post the deficit, unemployment rates, and if the war on terrorism has been successful (ie has Ossama been captured? Iraq a true Democracy per the timetable provided, etc.) as of today and we can take a look back at that come election 2008. Better yet, let's for shits and giggles roll back those stats to 2000 and go from there utilizing 2004 as a, "milestone".
Cowboy
Times a wastin , we need another war ! Our boys in Iraq/ Afghanistan need some help and some R&R , Let's get the draft started in Texas first ! Brock
most people dont realize that when you are running a two front war with many smaller fronts...and your country was attacked with thousands of deaths in multiple terrorist attacks.....that the stock market, economy and unemployment rate are all going to be affected. You cant fight a war and maintain a budget that was approved in a time of peace...and there is no timeline to say when a democracy will be born and work...as that is up to the inhabitants if we are going for a true democracy and not just a cheap imitation. No matter if it is Bush or was Gore in white house during 9-11...the economy would have been crippled through tourism and airline industry and skepticism on wall street. the only difference might be that Gore might not have gone after the AQ and Taliban training camps and done mroe like Clinton did after USS Cole with just a few strategic missiles to scare them...and I promise you we would have had many more attacks on US soil if that had happened. Many people do not know the great successes made in thwarting terrorism in the USA since 9-11.....because making it public would ruin our ability to continue with those tactics and informants for future attacks and planning against us....but trust me, we have made significant inroads to stop it from reaching our shores again....and not becoming another Israel with attacks a way of life each day. We already know consensus by UN does not work...ask the murdered and raped citizens of Bonsnia that were invited into safehavens under UN control only to be massacred by the Serbs while defenseless UN Troops stood by and watched or left the area because they did not have the teeth and fortitude to fight. Leave the wars to the warfighters and let the UN handle the political arena for which it was created. Damn glad it was NATO that fought the Cold War and not the United Nations.... :cppl1
