Whats the price. I payed less for houses than I paid for my 2500 Chevy High Country Diesel. It goes good in blizzards. Pulls a 26 enclosed trailer back and forth the Maine form NC just fine. If I lived in a city that it didn't snow I would consider it if they made a 4wd version.

Tesla’s (TSLA) stock price took a dive after the unveiling of the Cybertruck last week,

but now the stock is recovering as Elon Musk announces that Tesla already received

over 200,000 pre-orders, which can be worth over $10 billion if fully converted.

Tesla got another 41,000 Cybertruck orders since yesterday

I wouldn't have ordered it if it looked like a warmed over Holden Ute.

Might consider it for a back-up in about ten years.

Only way a Chevy can keep up with a Ford is if the Ford is towing it. :rasp:

I think the three motor will be for the most part, these things use a motor at the wheel to drive it, no drive train parasitic loses that way. Two front motors, one each wheel, and one rear motor ?

You'll notice the 6,500 lb T got a rolling start prior to 4,500 lb 2WD F150 acceleration/wheel spin.

The e motor feeds into a gear reduction gearbox, then to the wheel axle from there.

"TSLA has more vaporware products (i.e., stuff that doesn’t exist)

than real products for sale; and,

it’s real products are seeing large negative y/y growth currently.

TSLA - out of the 9 products they’ve announced and sell,

they only actively make 3 of them

(and demand for those three products appear to have peaked)."

The base version, which starts at $39,900, is equipped with a single rear motor, and Tesla says that it will accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 6.5 seconds.

Tesla also says that it will be offered in a Dual Motor all-wheel-drive version that will accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds, which is extremely fast for a production pickup truck.

That’s the powertrain that Tesla is using in the current Cybertruck prototype.

The automaker is also planning a tri-motor version to be able to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 2.9 seconds and complete the quarter-mile in 10 seconds.

It would be the fastest production pickup truck on the market.

'Tis all vaporware & 'twill be years before delivery. :rauch08:

Tesla sales have tanked.

Musk has laid off many.

Meanwhile, here are TSLA’s current cars/products not in production:

  • Roadster (unveil was 2yrs ago)
  • Semi (unveil was 2yrs ago)
  • Model Y (TSLA refuses to mention how many pre-orders they’ve received here)
  • Cybertruck ($100 fully-refundable deposits on a car that will likely cost $60K,
  • or 0.167%, is the equivalent of someone putting $1.67 toward
  • an $1,000 i-Phone & apple calling it an order)
  • ATV
  • FSD (to be FSD, TSLA would have had to achieve level 5 autonomy… they’re at level 2)

It 'twill be a while...

I find it amusing. A bunch of guys who like Indians because they don't look like the same old thing Harley keeps cranking out. Who bitch and whine when the Indians begin to look like the Harleys.

Then comes a pickup truck that isn't the same cookie cutter truck everyone else is pooping out, and they all hate it.

I'd buy one if my financial outlook was better.
