badndn
Indian is morphing into HD (with a touch of Victory) right before our eyes. IMO, Polaris is doing a shitty job with the brand and exactly what I thought and predicted they would do. They are the Milli Vanilli of the motorcycle world. One of my best friends rides an Indian and doesn't even know it yet. I'll be damned.
CHIEF DOC 99
Garlik Chiefs critics called 'em 'harlees in Indian clothing.' PolarBaggerChiefs are now 'Indians in harley clothing.' Sales will increase no doubt with the addition of this segment. Changing the looks of the engine & maybe a 4 valve head in the future? Harley may sue for patent infringements creating even more publicity. I love my Gilroys.

CHIEF DOC 99
Maybe this is a bone thrown to all the disgruntled Victory crowd? An effort to appease the pissed off Vicksters still holding that grudge. I think a 4 valve head would be more conducive to appeasement with those guys. I hope PII has addressed the weak connecting rod issue that reared it's freakface with the 116 kit installs ~ nothing wrecks a day riding like a starter gone airborne & catastrophic engine case disintegration at freeway speeds. Micmac
I have a 24 foot Haulmark filled up with the stuff I haul up here, tractor, wood splitter etc ..... I had some land cleared to build a garage, lots of trees I had them save. I must’ve cut and split 15 cords of wood this summer. But time to co,e home, the wife just left with the dog in her car. I got to stay until the electrician finishes up wiring a 16kw Generac Generator I’m having installed. I’m out of here Tuesday a 21 hour drive. I will enjoy spending time with you guys. I miss everyone..

CHIEF DOC 99
Waiting on the recall notice to Address the 116 install to prevent a failure. Could have been mechanical over-revving that caused some of the connecting rod failures. The one piece forged cranks are proving boolet proof. Could be the connecting rods were the reason for 111 low rpm rev limiter in the first place. Joe Malfa mentioned the other day that he has a newer Indian now to scoot around on & evaluate. Might want to call Joe & get his take on this 116 Thunderstroke engine possibilities.

Mechanical over-revving is always operator error Either missing a gear downshifting or downshifting during panic stops It happens... The rev limiter only works for acceleration The rev limiter has no rpm limiting effect in a downshift scenario.
