Wadn't much of a crowd there, seemed to me anyhow.

I would say less than a third of what I have seen before.

I did get to visit with some old friends and met a coupla new ones.

The following pics are the reminders of good times past.

On one other note, Bruce and Evelyn told me Danny's fund raiser for the shiner's children's hospital raised over $12K.....................

Don't remember the amounts for the last couple, but that much is better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick...............

Evelyn stepped up and bought the cedar covered cooler I brought for $1100. WOW!! :ooh2: I was told that is the highest anything has sold for since it started.

Not sure but I probably saw about 50 different bikes. I wasn't counting but it appeared to be a pretty low turnout (validated by one of HF's rooms being empty and available as the designated pisser during the evenings). However, the weather was PHENOMENAL!!! And we got in some GREAT rides.

I stayed next door to the north and they weren't full either. Never seen it that way before. Pretty slim turnout.

I had a good time....Mixed emotions overall.

Stayed in the state campgrounds...nice and quiet...changed it up for me versus the previous year where I had more pavilion time

Seemed that when they had a free meal, there was a lot of turn out, and eveyone came out of the wood work, but vanished as the BEST times started( the Gazebo, the singing, maybe a little drinking )

Noticed that the other places on the point were totally dead the whole week??? Even the high priced ones...

I only need 1 person to have a party, and that's ME :rotfl:

When one alienates the group of people that made your gathering a success, it tends to have far reaching consequences..... If anyone doesn't believe this is all about $$$, they have their head so far up their corn-hole that they will never see the light of day.

I don't have a problem with that fact, I have a problem with billing it as "something OTHER than that"

YOU CAN FOOL SOME OF THE PEOPLE SOME OF THE TIME, BUT YOU CAN'T FOOL ALL OF THE PEOPLE ALL OF THE TIME!!!

Seems to me that HF is just sowing dissension among their customers - pretty dumb idea IMO.

Only picture I have from my one and only IRIP. RHB imploded hour past Little Rock....if not for the help and support from IIRA members especially Posie, Frank, Iron Mule......I would have been SOL. Also, Grumpy, drove me to airport to pick up a rental so I could get home afterwards since bike was on its way to Blackhawk for engine tear down. What a caring and kind man...RIP Grumpy and Lumpy.

Met HarleyNot and his then girlfriend, Nan, for first time....the evening did not end well with all the drinking. Well it ended well I just was ruined when time to wake up and my liver was in shock!!!!!! I think this was either in his place or in the hangout for the Wisc/Minn crew.

A few free bottles of Crystal Skull might help ... or is it illegal to bait traps in Carolina?
