icelandknight
In case people were unaware, in the newest episode of Grimm (Season 04 Episode 12) the villain rides an Indian Chieftian. Thought some of you might want to know of this. Nice (& about time) to see an Indian make it into a TV show. Yours, Thor

icelandknight
Hey Thor! A Wessen hitman rides a Chieftain? The Grimm needs to take him out & keep the bike! I don't want to spoil the episode for anyone, but the "Vessen Hit Man" possibly gets what he deserves... but NOT at the hand you'd expect! ;-) *ahem* Its always a pleasure to see Indian Motorcycles in movies and tv shows. Micmac
Hey Stranger! The movie "Niagara" from 1953 with Marilyn Monroe has two Canadian Police riding Chiefs. Several episodes of The Three Stooges feature Indians, an episode of The Andy Griffith Show has a surplus 741 w/ a side hack, Emmy Lou Harris has a song "Red Dirt Girl" that mentions our brand. "Red Dirt Girl" Me and my best friend LillianAnd her blue tick hound dog Gideon,Sittin on the front porch cooling in the shadeSingin every song the radio playedWaitin for the Alabama sun to go downTwo red dirt girls in a red dirt townMe and LillianJust across the line and a little southeast of Meridian. She loved her brother I remember back whenHe was fixin up a '49 IndianHe told her 'Little sister, gonna ride the windUp around the moon and back again"He never got farther than Vietnam,I was standin there with her when the telegram comeFor Lillian. Now he's lyin somewhere about a million miles from Meridian. She said there's not much hope for a red dirt girlSomewhere out there is a great big worldThats where I'm boundAnd the stars might fall on AlabamaBut one of these days I'm gonna swingMy hammer downAway from this red dirt townI'm gonna make a joyful soundShe grew up tall and she grew up thinBuried that old dog GideonBy a crepe myrtle bush in the back of the yard,Her daddy turned mean and her mama leaned hardGot in trouble with a boy from townFigured that she might as well settle downSo she dug right inAcross a red dirt line just a little south east from MeridianShe tried hard to love him but it never did takeIt was just another way for the heart to breakSo she dug right in.But one thing they don't tell you about the bluesWhen you got emYou keep on falling cause there ain't no bottomThere ain't know end.At least not for LillianNobody knows when she started her skid,She was only 27 and she had five kids.Coulda' been the whiskey,Coulda been the pills,Coulda been the dream she was trying to kill. But there won't be a mention in the news of the worldAbout the life and the death of a red dirt girlNames LillianWho never got any farther across the line than Meridian. Now the stars still fall on AlabamaTonight she finally laidThat hammer downWithout a soundIn the red dirt ground

icelandknight
*ahem* yeah, I was kinda just refering to the new Indians (after Polaris took over)... I think this might be the first of the "new Indians" in tv episodes. but yep, there have been in a number of movies with our bikes in ... Did anyone ever collect then together? I did one about "Biker Movies" but the most notable there would be "The World's Fastest Indian" "The Indian" ... surely soon the new Indians will start making more appearances. (hope) Yours, Thor Centennial Chief riding though the Amish farmland in Wisconsin. ... it was a good time. firebird77clone
The terminator movie was disappointing. They destroyed about six bikes, and the final product was so dressed up as to be nearly unrecognizable as an Indian. Worse, the introduction scene has john riding (and wrecked) some rice burner. It should have been a scout.
