OK. I saw aka Last Resort visited your profile. His name is Mike S. he met me one time, years ago, and has been nice enough to let me stay around. Plus, he is the Major Dude around here. Might be good for you to talk to Mike. Additionally, private PM messages can be sent to me or other people.

I've said more than I should already but, I noticed no one else was chiming in....yet. Give it some time. And,,,,, Welcome to the forum.

HarleyNot and Last Resort here in this forum are also the POCs for the IIRA. There is a POC contact page there you can use to pose your questions and such. IIRA was formed in response to the factory (Gilroy) shutting down discussions about failing parts, poorly built bikes, and lack of quality control. It has been grassroots and self sufficient since the inception.

When I bought my Chief, the owner threw in everything he had including 4 helmets, 2 prs. of chaps, covers, luggage, etc. He also threw in a leather vest that had a large Indian patch in the middle back along with a fairly large IIRA patch. I didn't give it much thought and folded it up and put it away in the box where it remains today. It seems like a personal thing and I was surprised that he gave it away.

I see loyalty at its best is showing true colors. Pathetic. Byron, you should just give them away cuz ... You know ... Making money the IIRA way is just wrong!

Hey Glassguy2,

Below is pretty much what the IIRA is all about. copied and pasted right from their website:

The purpose of this Association is to bring together Indian Motorcycle Owners and Enthusiasts, (You do not need to own an Indian to join and be a member of the IIRA. All bike brands are welcomed.), who share a common bond in riding and promoting Indian Motorcycles - both the Classic and the Contemporary Models. Our mission is to HAVE FUN, promote motorcycle safety, participate in national and local Rides and Events, assist national and local charities and to support our association members and the motorcycle rider community.
