Truchaos
@ Te Heuheu The video is interesting, India imposed an importation tariff on all motorcycles over 800cc's. Harley Davidson built a factory there to avoid paying the importation tax. So Indian is going to have to compete with a tariff on top of the retail price of each bike. Truchaos
Not unless Polaris has a factory there too. Something to look into. Isn't it interesting that as soon as any other country in the world imposes a trade tariff, Our corporations trip over themselves build factories there but if WE even talk about a trade tariff on products imported into America suddenly everyone runs around in circles waving their hands in panic mode. I say we slap trade tariffs on everything made outside the country. Make foreign goods more expensive and create incentive to build factories here in the US. It was only when America signed these "free trade" treaties that we lost nearly 50,000 factories and millions of manufacturing jobs in the US. These treaties have far greatly benefited the other nations than they have benefited America.
LabRat
Don't get me started on trade tariffs for products coming from India. This administration has F'd with my profit margins big time because they have not renewed many of the long standing trade deals. The GSP (Generalized System of Preferences) expired on December 31, 2010 and we took an immediate haircut because this a-hole is out playing golf and fund raising rather than tending to the nations business. We have our Senator on it, but this administration has F'd around for nearly 4 years on this. That amounts to at least another person I could have given a job to, but no, it's going to pay for F'n Obamaphones and more free shit to people that aren't working.
