Try uShip: http://www.uship.com/

They bid your job out to several haulers and you pick the cheapest one. I used them to bring a motorcycle with sidecar and trailer from New Mexico to Ohio. Cost me $850 and everything was here undamaged in three days.

I have used " Haul Bikes" a few times, they handle everything and do not farm out your bike to someone else, They have enclosed trailers with a lift gate and special racks just for bikes, so you know your bike isn't tossed in with a gun safe or piano.

you lucked out.

Uship is full of shady unlicensed haulers.

i had a tool cart shipped by them

it came poorly strapped right next to a backhoe bucket.

it was a used cart and a few more scratches was no bigee

Uships complaint process tosses you back & forth to the hauler, so if your hauler does not participate your SOL

Maybe so. I know some other guys who had stuff shipped through them and they highly recommended uShip. That's why I went with them. uShip does not actually ship anything, they only put shippers and customers together. I actually used a company called FC Transport (through uShip) and you can check out any of the carriers online for insurance, reputation, licenses, etc. That's what I did before I entered the agreement.

I have only been contacted by two people with quotes from uship so far. The first, I read his reviews and also found him on the internet. All is good. The second wanted to put in the back of his pick up truck...not so good. Very fair prices also. I will let you know how it turns out.
