Mike-in-the-Dro
Back in the day when I was a kid, it was Easy Rider or also The Wild One. These days though I identify a bit more with, uh, Wild Hogs.

Wetrudgeon
Twain: You are not the only one who does not care for Easy Riders. There are at least two of us. In our estimation, no plot or story and awful scipt and lines, compensated for by very weak acting. Other than some nice rides and a couple of cuites (none of whom could actually act), there was little redeeming about the film. There were a few lines for Fonda's character that he should have flatly refused to recite. There were actually a couple of actors in the film who went on to have credible (not stellar) careers. Easy Riders was not a highlight for any of them. Other than the Brando film, most of the flicks of that type are weak. Our $.02. We trudge on. Jack Nicholson has only had a 'credible' career, with 12 Oscar nominations, and 3 Oscars? Not sure what one has to do to be 'stellar'

Indian Red
The Greatest Biker Movie of all time. I still wear my fringe jacket every fuckin day. The sound track alone makes the movie iconic.....but I guess you would have had to have been there to appreciate it/ I concede, it's frozen in time....just like me. dennymusic
It wasn't a movie but as a kid, I loved to watch "Then Came Bronson". It was pretty cool to me at that age. I was about 11 or 12. And,,,,, uh,,,,, hate to say it to previous posters on this topic but Easy Rider was WAY-yyy more than a bike movie. Easy Rider spoke volumes about the times in the 60's. It would be included in a time capsule of 60's collectables to survive a nuclear war. It was about the major cultural change that came after,,,, ELVIS by damned. It was about hippies vs. rednecks. Experimenting with drugs and "lettin-it-all-hang-out-man". It was also about something that has survived since it started then and that's "questioning the government",,, on a level never done before in America because of the Vietnam War (thanks Tricky-Dick). So much more than just two guys traveling on bikes, a couple of babes, cheap script lines and gettin high. Indian Red hit the nail on the head concerning the music. The music summed it all up for what the 60's had in store for us. "The Pusher", "Born To Be Wild", "The Weight",,,,, Every damned song from the movie is forever etched into the minds of most Americans alive today and will be for many generations to come. Easy Rider will "LIVE".... long after many other iconic biker movies. And tan fringe swede jackets FUCKIN RULE man.
