New Indian Motorcycle Dealer - Downtown Greensboro, Nc

Recommended Posts

The Business Journal - Triad announced the opening of an Indian Motorcycle dealership in downtown Greensboro, NC by mid-April. Who would have thought that an Indian dealer would be within 5 blocks of my office! What great news for a Friday.

Ride safe,

I suspect that other large cities will have dealerships as well (e.g., Raleigh) - but Charlotte is the Flagship. Awesome to have both in the area!

I spend my money where the guy has been there for me in the past, present and future. I appreciate the fact there is one in my hometown as does Darren. Unlike Polaris, I have loyalty to Indian of Charlotte, even if it is a 100 mile one way drive. I think I am beginning to like them(Polaris) less and less. I am beginning to believe they do not get it, Mark kept us going when these fuckers were selling medical supplies, golf carts, Tupperware, or burial plots. Mark has been with Indian since the brand came out again with the kit bikes. I will stop in and be cordial and wish them well. Of course I will buy a t-shirt.

Wonder how Mark Moses feels about that.......................

I know how I would feel if I had keep the flame burning in the Carolinas, hell the East Coast of the United States and beyond and they start putting dealerships all around me, but I am not of the character he is. I would run my mouth and loose the franchise.

I think Mark will do fine... I think enough of these bikes will be sold to support dealers closer than 2 hours apart.

Many, like Pete, me, Brock and others, will continue to go further to Charlotte because of Mark. Others will keep Indian Greensboro alive..

I i think they are fucking Mark over and do NOT give a fuck. Never will. They also have a dealership an hour down I-85 too. Pete, I am liking Polaris less and less too.

More bikes, more customers, more dealers. The cream will rise to the top. Stop the handwringing.

Cream was already at the top R2D2. I wish you would appreciate dedication and sacrifice more. Mark was the cream when the rest of these Johnny-come-lately dealers were selling used cars, ATV's and rice burners. I think Polaris should respect a dealer that survived thru the tough times, sacrificed to no end and supported Indians owners when THEY themselves didn't. More isn't always better. NEVER sacrifice quality for price or numbers. Polaris just wants a buttload of dealers to move bikes. They could give less of a shit about any of them on a singular basis. This policy failed with Victory and will fail with Indian too. It's not about MORE, MORE, MORE.

The point is he is still here!!! All the others vanished. Same will be now, the ones who step up will last and the ones who are in it for $$$ will fade away. THATS WHAT A GOOD DEALER DOES

Disagreed.

Greensboro is about 90 miles from Charlotte. That's more than enough distance between Indian dealers. I wonder what Mr. Moses thinks?

Not at this point. They are WAY FAR away from needing dealerships that close together. WAY WAY FAR OFF. Three dealerships within a 90 mile radius of Charlotte. Do you REALLY think that is a good thing for the developing dealerships in that area? Or do you just agree with everything Polaris does or says? All you are doing is hurting the dealers as they are developing the brand. Mark would not say anything negative regardless of his feelings. Not his way. Too much of a gentleman. Me...not so much.

Eddie... It would have been nicer if someone thought about this when they put the cities where they did..... but... my bet would be Mark has sold nearly as many Polaris Indians in 6 months as in 3 years with KM.... I'd also guess the dealer markup is close... maybe I'm wrong here... but anyway.... I think the dealers that will hurt from being close to Mark... are the new dealers that are close to Mark.... He has built a following that is loyal and will continue to buy from him... just my opinion... could be wrong... but I do have pretty good track record with all things Indian...

I agree it will hurt other dealers close to Mark, but they will take some of business he would have gotten. It's wrong for all concerned. How many dealers would we have if we put them on a 90 mile grid across the Country. Somebody do the math. But yet, Polaris STARTS out, jamming two right on top of Mark right out of the gate. Just wrong. Wrong.

Great comments - over the years I've spent a lot of money in the service departments of Indian of High Point; Indian of Charlotte, Blackhawk and a couple other independent shops. I've received good service from every place I've taken my Indians. I have appreciated the extra care given to my bikes and hopefully every mechanic/dealer has appreciated my immediate payment for the services provided. I am always happy to pay for good service.

I am thrilled to have a local Indian Motorcycle dealer and hopefully more of my friends will start riding Indians now that they have a local option.

Have a good weekend.

I did the math.... 125,000 dealers if on a 90 mile grid. lol Probably need one every 5 miles in heavily populated areas. :smileypuking: ...like the Walmart and Dollar General business plan. :smileypuking:

I was just talking to my wife Carol earlier today, that I wouldn't b surprised that a dealership in western N.C. would b coming soon.I had my guess on Hickory N.C.

As for Mark and crew, they'll b OK. I like others will wish the new dealers luck, and hope they do OK,"but" as Dorthy said"Theres no place like home"

No, they have one at Myrtle Beach (near Calabash, NC, an town Infamous for Mud sharks)who will sell the hell outta t-shirts, one in Raleigh would be a good distance. I believe there is one near Eddie in Greenville, SC, there is one near Brock in Charleston, SC.

The more I think and read I believe Mark will be fine. As earlier stated, there are many of us that will support him for the way we have been treated by him. I will stop by the local store from time to time, and wish them success they will never put their hands on #002, nor my '15. If I moved to New Zealand my wife's homeland, I would still do business with Charlotte. They will mail me anything FREE that I need. I usually receive it in a days time here in Greensboro. i have occasion to be in Charlotte on business at least twice a month and I can schedule any hands on stuff I need around that. Why shop elsewhere? This is a unique situation for an Indian rider to be in, hasn't happened since 1953, 61 years ago.
