Maldev
Wonder how long it will take to convert this to motorcycle use. http://www.hovding.com/en/how_it_works/

Maldev
Only pops up when you have an accident though. If they could start hiding that into jacket collars and such...
mycorn
cheap too... wonder if hittin that semi tractor air wall @ hwy speed would set it off lots more variables on a scooter on the freeway than a pushbike and if it went off above about 45 it would be like a drag chute at the end of a 1/4 mile... Funniest thing I saw was one of the AZ boys came riding out in Kalifornia. Heading north on PCH and suddenly he pulls over quickly in front of me. He hadn't tightened his helmet on on the way, it caught air, fell behind his head and started choking him out. As for the rest of the variables, I am sure someone can figure it out. They have entire body suits designed to do the same thing for motorcycle riders.

Tin Whiskers
I would be surprised if 4'' of air is any protvection. Would be a fantastic rain bonnet.

Maldev
We can see your helmet. Your wife just tells you that no one else can see it.
badndn
Nice Idea. Better than a helmet. How long till they are mandated? I like the idea of the Michelin Man blow up suit.
LabRat
"might" work for initial impact, but highly doubt it would stand up to sliding along the pavement after going down at 70 MPH
Travlur
Good Lord. That is the fugliest thing I have ever seen! Can you imagine the wind resistance? Can you say "sore neck"? lol
firebird77clone
So you want me to wrap an electronically controlled explosive air bag around my neck. What could go wrong?

SlvrStrk
Seen similar things to wear over jackets that would inflate like a life vest to protect the upper body. I thought more police riders would be required to wear them, but haven't seen any since they were first advertised years ago.
