Te Heuheu
http://freepatriot.org/2013/10/06/million-vet-march-organized-dc-vets-standing-obama-tyranny-memorials/ Barack Hussein Obama doesn’t seem to care much for U.S. veterans. He labels them to be terrorist threats when they return home from deployment, cuts their pay in spite of laws mandating that it be tied to inflation, and as well as ignoring the high suicide rate among veterans. He’s also demonstrated his loathe of veterans over the last several days through enforcement of barricades around the WW2 and Vietnam veteran memorials and the threat of arrest for noncompliance. Hussein may want to make some travel plans. He’s really not going to like what is in the works now. A Facebook page has just been created to organize and facilitate an event being called the “Million Vet March”. It is billed as a non-partisan event of people from all walks of life and backgrounds. The March and gatherings are to be held by Veterans and their supporters at the war memorials in Washington DC on Sunday October 13th at 9 AM and at memorials across these United States. It seems like the administration might have ruffled a few non-compliant feathers among the masses that don’t appreciate having their heroes disparaged; especially by the likes of Barack Hussein Obama. LabRat
You see this? LabRat
Not only are they being allowed to rally - they have a permit to set up a stage for the event
Last Resort
And be clear, it is NOT an "immigration rally" It is a fucking Illegal Alien rally The USA has an immigration policy ... enforce it.

PA CHFTN
When you see that type of stage and tents, this far in advance of the event, a large amount of money is being spent by someone to promote a cause. The event is likely being driven by a polical interest group with the funding by corporations and trade associations, who inturn pay the Lobbiest, who put on the event so the corporations don't have thier name on it. There are a lot of industries who are very friendly (and dependent) to Latino workers. When we were kids they were called migrant farm workers. But this workforce has really integrated it's self into all walks of life. Most large operators in my business (tent rental) are 80% or more Latino labor. While I don't, I know they are welcomed by my peers in the rental business, because they are willing to do the work that young American boys will not. I place the budget (based on the rental items I see 7 days in advance) for this event to be well over $100,
LabRat
Remember Honor Flights with aging WWII vet's cost a lot money? A single flight would cost a lot more than a stage set-up....just sayin'

LabRat
It's getting worse - Vietnam vets arrested last night while holding a candle light vigil at the Vietnam memorial in NYC - they disobeyed the 10PM curfew. UnF'n believable. We have definitely crossed over where we have militarized the local police forces and they no longer question their orders no matter how egregious. http://www.infowars.com/police-arrest-veterans-at-nyc-memorial/

Blue Diesel
and communism No, they fought on the same side as the Communists against the Fascists. The Commies were our allies in the war, after they were allies with the Nazis. They weren't out enemies until after VE day.

The reason why they were arrested is because they were Vietnam vets...we have always been and will always be the bastard child of all the veterans groups...our service meant shit to them back then and still does today... LabRat
Thank you for your service and you may be right, but judging from the turnout every Memorial day in DC, I hope you are wrong. Keeping all that in mind, the very people who protested against you are now running the government and it's a damn shame this bunch of radicals are in charge of our military. Scalper38
Thank you for your service and you may be right, but judging from the turnout every Memorial day in DC, I hope you are wrong. Keeping all that in mind, the very people who protested against you are now running the government and it's a damn shame this bunch of radicals are in charge of our military. They are in charge of the governments (at all levels) and are teaching our kids in the schools. Until everday Americans wake up and get rid of teacher's unions and tenure and vote in those who support the MAJORITY of American's morals and ethics then nothing is going to change. You know, the reason that term limits aren't in the Constitution is because our founding fathers thought that actually voting was the way to term limit folks that weren't doing what their constituents wanted. We either need term limits or smarter constituents. I haven't figured out which is harder to accomplish.
LabRat
Oh, don't get me started on Common Core and the infiltration of progressives in education. We'll never get smarter constituents based on how they are indoctrinating our young. I'm all for term limits, but would really like to get rid of the 17th Amendment. The Senators were not supposed to represent the people, they were supposed to represent the interests of the State. The House was supposed to represent the interests of the people. LabRat
Yep, few coming out of school probably know that. My guess is that few in DC or the Media know that either. I also saw a Common Core passage and true/false questions stating that the Supreme Court's job is to determine if a law is FAIR - that was a true answer. Gee, I thought their job was to determine if it is constitutional, not some social justice BS.
toycar10
Several of our distinguished senators were arrested at the immigration ralley. Enyone care to guess what party they were from. It would be nice if they couldnt run again with an arrest record. They are crying about 1100 illeagles deperted each day. Guess my idea of reform would be to double or thriple that number. homer
Personally, I think you should be blaming Cruz and the far right wing for forcing the shut down. Everyone else dug in and watched it play out because they felt they had to. Extreme views on either end of the spectrum do more harm than good in my opinion. I used to think extremist views were good, because they forced everyone else to the center. My opinion on that may be evolving. Everyone uses half-truths and spin doctor talking points to find people to commiserate with. Truth is, our country is too divided on political lines. Politicians are in it to win it.. They only care about getting re-elected. Instead of acknowledging everyone has some blame and everyone has ideas with validity, we seem to have to accept that if the other side says it, we have to take the other view. You won't see any change until you get rid of professional politicians. Single term limits. Republicans and Democrats are just labels. Somehow we've been brainwashed into thinking you have to choose one side or the other. Reminds me of how I'm perplexed that the political leanings of judges matters..it simply shouldn't. While we may have different views on how to get there, most of us want the same thing for our country. Name calling and painting with broad strokes runs contrary to achieving these goals. When everyone loses, no one wins. America loses. The always negative political banter is why I left this board and all social media to begin with. Esp this board--while I consider myself a moderate (I really don't vote party lines-- I lean left on some issues and right on others), somehow the labeling of anyone not ultra-conservative as..(insert negative stereotype) offends more. I think it's because while I am in general anti-extremist, if forced to identify with the extremist of one party or the other, the far right scares me more....and vice-versa i'm sure. A lesser of two evils thing I guess.. just my .02
homer
BTW.. WWII vets (and Vets in general) are people I hold in high esteem. I organized what I hoped to be an annual "take a Vet to the WWII Museum" day last year. Unfortunately we have lost 2 since last years trip, one of whom was a man I respected more than any human on earth. I thank all Vets for their service anytime I see one.
