Interview With Steve Menneto

I remember saying it would be great to see Indian on the flat track next to Harley again when visiting Kings Mountain....but Steves had no interest in racing or sponsorship. THis is cool shit....

well after getting past not being able to stop staring at the guys Pedo stache.....I find it kind of funny how they won't talk Victory yearly sales. Is it not what they want it to be or not what they try to say it is? Just seemed odd.

 

The part I found interesting was when he says PI thought about buying Indian in 2001......which would mean buying it from Gilroy AND before the PP100 was introduced......

 

I just have to wonder what Indian would be like now if it had been running straight through from 1999 & with say the PP100 being manufactured as a problem free engine or some other engine like the TS111...you already had the Scout & the Spirit to go with the Chief.......Victory may have been shut down then.....just interesting how many things might be different.

 

As for new bikes, I still really like the KM prototype

Good article.... talks about why the two previous attempts failed... how they will succeed... talks about price and market they are targeting... this is a great marketing plan..... make it accessible to the masses like the Indian of old.... technology... different models... maybe a four for those of you that like the four.... doesn't sound like Vic is going away... lot's of good stuff....

I like the tag line Choice is coming...Etc ...But kind of makes you wonder how that positions Victory since Victory was an American V Twin choice prior to purchase of Indian?

Yup & you can get to the Batt cables quick when the starter doesn't disengage.... :rotfl:

I remember sitting on that bike when Mark had it at Charlotte.It looked better in person,and set real good.
