Sad to say we are prolly stuck with YO-MAMA-CARE, Some said if we were able to get him out of office after his first 4 years we might have been able counter this... Sad to say the welfare receptionist voted otherwise...

No need for a section for that. discuss as you wish. there's nothing against political discussions in the TOS. just keep it civil.

One day a farmers donkey fell down into a well.

One day a farmers donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do. Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the well needed to be covered up anyway; it just wasnt worth it to retrieve the donkey.

He invited all his neighbors to come over and help him. They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly. Then, to everyones amazement he quieted down.

A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well. He was astonished at what he saw. With each shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something amazing. He would shake it off and take a step up.

As the farmers neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it off and take a step up. Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and happily trotted off!

MORAL :

Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt. The trick to getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step up. Each of our troubles is a steppingstone. We can get out of the deepest wells just by not stopping, never giving up! Shake it off and take a step up.

Remember the five simple rules to be happy:

1. Free your heart from hatred Forgive.

2. Free your mind from worries Most never happens.

3. Live simply and appreciate what you have.

4. Give more.

5. Expect less from people but more from yourself.

What da hell has happened to this country?

i hate to break this too you dude....

but the figurehead on the front of the boat

neither makes it float or sink

dont get me wrong

i think the guy is a dipshit

and i think FDR was a bigger dipshit

how long has it been since a republican administration

ran the govt. on a balanced budget

and payed down on your grandkids future debt?

it's taken a TWO party system 200 years

to get us to here

[well.. it's only taken about 100 years

to really trash the concept...]

if you dont believe both parties are to blame

you are every bit as blind as the 'zealots' on the

other side of the fence...

Are you sure the moral of the story isn't "cover up the well or your ass will fall in".

Draw your own conclusions.

To me it says self-reliance matters more for personal happiness than reliance on govmint.

Prez is nothing more than the hood ornament on the vehicle.

My comment was not political, more an observation that the farmer was negligent in not covering the hole. Yes, that is kinda like the government, since they seem to have a hole that my tax dollars go into. As far as reliance is concerned, I am self-employed, paid for my own education, and self-insured. Except for an occasional cookie I expect nothing from anyone or any entity. So I'm with you Doc.

Ya I know both parties are to blame for what is happening now one ain't know better than the other. These professional arsehole politicians need a limit on how long they can be in there and not exempt from the screwie bills they come up with. They are no different than us.

The allocators of public funding are digging one heckuva deep well ~ 20 trillion dollars deep and sinking deeper every minute of the day and night.

Creating debt for the as yet unborn generations is a political and economic tradition here on earth.

Maybe debt creation is a modern necessity for nations, but it wouldn't fly for long as a personal strategy.

The entire wealth of the planet registers around One Thousand Trillion Dollars or so I've read from multiple sources.

One single corporate entity and it's assigns is said to possess and control 500 Trillion Dollars or half of the world's wealth.

Too many elected officials are no longer public servants, they have chosen to become corporate servants instead.
