What is that guy saying, the one turned around??? Could it be "Look out! You have a imperialist bogie in yellow plane with pink headlights on your 6!

Seriously though, their fighter pilots get 20 hours/year. With the fact that we would most certainly bring it at night coupled with the rugged terrain, most of these guys are their own biggest threat.

I actually have some time in an AN-2, about as slow as you can go in any aircraft.

How did you do that? Cool, aircraft. For those unfamiliar, a very large cabin class biplane with very large radial engine.

Col,

Years ago a guy was selling one at OSH, we had a guy that had some interest in buying it and was looking for someone to ferry it for him. We took it up to check it out (with the current pilot). Looks like you would expect Boris Badenoff to be sitting in it. Like most Soviet designs, rugged, no frills, loud, uncomfortable, she flew like a tractor with wings. I re call she had leading edge slats that would deploy below 60 kts, I flew her down to around 40kts and she buffeted an slowly lost altitude, she didn't stall just mushed down. I chickened out pushing for the break as no one on board seemed to know if she fell off into one wing. The buyer didn't proceed with the sale (she was only $60k) as he felt parts for the Soviet radial would be an issue and he didn't went to hang a Pratt or Jacob on her. All in all a very cool airplane, but like all radials big $$$ to operate.
