TallRider
My grandson played his first Pop Warner football game in Florida this last weekend . . . nose guard and tackle. He saw twelve reps, which isn't a lot, but not bad for an organized football newbie. He's twelve, but takes after his father and grandfather in size - he looks two to three years older (he'll need the extra size - he's lost 12 pounds which is a good thing). He's one of the younger kids on the team, and his older team mates have been encouraging with pats on the back and saying "hey" to him in the halls at middle school - which is really nice for a new kid on the block sixth grader to have older classmates even acknowledge him let alone provide support and encouragement. I'm trying NOT to be the stereotypical grandparent with delusions of SEC football grandeur . . . but it would be nice.
IndianTrue
How proud you must be, what a great step he has made and that is not an easy one to obtain. Congratulation.
