hasbin
I think it is more to keep it from being destroyed from people as anything, How long were they going to guard it 27-7 ? It should have been destroyed in place if you ask me

Rustrtal
My vote is to melt it down, encase Sanduski in it like Han Solo and put it back up as a testiment that the University will not tolerate any such actions again.
Sam Hayne
To me, since those involved are either dead, in jail or unemployed waiting for whatever charges they will get...the whole punishment to Penn State coming tomorrow makes little sense. They will not be punishing anyone involved. It will be punishment to those left to pick up the pieces of all of this. Honestly, to me, if you believe the football program needs to be punished, then I think it isn't going far enough. The University president was involved. Rip down Penn State altogether. This started with the football program but went well beyond. Just get rid of iot now. Once the civil cases start, they may be financially ruined anyway. Then the NCAA needs to take a good hard look in the mirror. All the money involved in college football has made the entire thing corrupt. They could care less about education. If they did they wouldn't have games being played anytime ESPN or another network wants to have one on. However, my opinion is this, kids go to school to be lawyers & doctors & whatever. Time to change all of this. If you are at a school for football, then have the entire thing be classes geared towards making these guys pro football players. Maybe then we won't have record numbers of arrests every off season in the NFL.

SlvrStrk
They should of given the football program their 'death certificate.' At least two years - no football - with scholarship penalties and no bowl appearances coming after the two years. And I like Penn St.
