LittleDanielle
WOW! What is that from? That is amazing! On a side note, I am ashamed of my generation on a daily basis...
Prof. O
Every generation has to grow up. Not the first one's to start off in the shallow end of the pool!
hasbin
Prof. Many of the previous generation (not all) has raised a bunch of kids & young adults that think they are entitled to a free ride or at least a job that starts @ 80-k a year it took most of us a while to get there... And they want it right out of school or will not work.
Prof. O
I teach this group daily and find most very responsible and respectful . We should not fall into the trap of the 30 second sound bites. You need to look no further than our military and non-profit sectors for data. Most want what we wanted and are willing to work hard for it. Yes there are the slackers but remember the hippies. They didn't turn out so bad! Reward the right behaviors and you will get more of it. Reward the wrong behaviors and you will get more of that. Curious though who gives the rewards? hasbin
You are correct for your demographic, My narrow point of view comes from my experience in the far west & the far east, Being a native "AMERICAN NODAK" I tried to instill the mid-west work ethic into my off-spring, it has taken hold for the most part... CHIEF DOC 99
Aquisition of Creature Comforts vrs Completion of Life Mission ~ creature comfort aquisition usually wins out for most as a choice. The 'NewsRoom' show challenges right & left media to do their job & inform citizens rather than merely entertain which was implied in the reference to Leno. CHIEF DOC 99
"It's only a TV show..." A Mexican/American translator at the White House enrolled his burro in a barrel race & won. The local paper read:'WHITE HOUSE TRANSLATOR'S ASS WINS RACE' The President was so upset with this kind of publicity that he ordered the Translator never to enter the burro in another race. Next day Good Morning America was at the racetrack with this lead story: 'PRESIDENT SCRATCHES TRANSLATOR'S ASS'. This was too much for the President, he ordered the Translator to get rid of the burro. Having always admired the burro, he gifted the First Lady with the burro in question. Heading the National News Items the following day was : "FIRST LADY HAS THE BEST ASS IN TOWN". The President was aggravated with the latest PR fiasco ~ a costly distraction ~ especially during an election year. He ordered the First Lady to divest herself of the burro inmmediately. She sold the talented burro to a farmer for $10. Next day paper read:"PRESIDENT FORCES FIRST LADY TO SELL ASS FOR $10" Seeking a politically correct solution, the President ordered the First Lady to buy back and release the burro to it's natural habitat. The next day News Headlines announced :"PRESIDENT CONFIRMS FIRST LADY'S ASS IS FINALLY WILD and FREE" The Power of the Media is Mostly Shown by Who's Ass IS Being Needled! I watched the first episode online in between wrangling my kids, and if I am correct, the show itself is based in a time frame of a couple years ago... So Occupy isn't really "current" in the show, it may be in another couple seasons if they last that long...
