You Know What Really Sucks About Getting Old

Recommended Posts

Got a call this morning from my buddy Mike Cunningham's wife, Mike died of a heart attack this morning, only 56 years old. When I was riding to Branson, he called and check on my frequently. He was a Harley man with 6 of them, he loved his '55 pan. Of course we enjoyed all the banter that entailed. Much too young. I am not in a good mood.He was a true friend, and a proud West Virginian. I will miss him.

So sorry to hear about your good friend.

That is too young to pass away.

My condolences to his Wife and Family, and to his friends as well.

Take care Pete.

Very sorry to here about your buddy. When it is your time to go God takes you for something better. A good friend of mine pasted away last year he was 57. Running Bear was his song. His wife died of cancer 11 months before him. He was lost without her think he wanted to go join her. We drank so many beers together and told so many stories. Life goes on. You will have the memories.

I had talked to him on the phone yesterday morning for over an hour. He was in a good mood. Was taking his Grandaughter fishing. His wife said he did not suffer. That is good, he did not deserve it. Mike just didn't say he was your friend, he showed it. Many people say they are your friend and it is situational/conditional,or it's the booze talking. The herd is thinning out fer sure. Mike was a friend 24/7 we never close kinda friend. He was called Uncle by my kids, and that was true as he was a real brother. This one is gonna hurt for awhile. As soon as I bury him, I'm hitting the road for a spell. Don't know when I'll be back. Thanks to all for your kind words.

Pete, I'm glad he didn't suffer, you will for a while then you will be able to just remeber the good times and smile, the pain always stays in some way, but the hurt fades with time. Prayers going out for him and his family, including you.
