Micmac
Personally, I know many places without all the hype that are better to ride, as do you guys. It was a nice place 20 years ago. I just posted it here because many people see it as a destination. I see it as an opportunity for evolution to flourish.

(Which would be a good thing.) 623 which is just north of it looks like it has some twistie parts. (East of Little Town). Check that out Bob. Mebee that's a good area for the 2013 Blue Ridge Ride. I have some great trails right near me, the combination of which would make a good Blue Ridge Ride-- problem is--- Indian Lover wont let everyone come and stay at the same time. Rt 16 Marion to Froglevel Rt 61 Tazewell to Burkes Garden and Narrows Rt 613 To Paint Bank Rt 80 up to Breaks Interstate Park in KY. Rt 52 South to Hillsville is an good as any, going over East River Mtn and Big Walker . I could figer out a couple good loops and we could make a weekend out of it. Ya'll have to wait till Mid Summer--- cause its GNCC racing season now.

Brock
I spent every summer as a kid in Robbinsville...uncle had place there. tubing down nanatahalla, trout fishing, horseback riding, running trap lines, fishing, etc. I see they finally banned 18 wheelers with trailers over 30 feet on the Dragon....too many times you will meet one on blind curve in your lane and they have no where to go due to their size.....so you end up playing chicken to avoid them. I perosnally think all 18 wheelers pulling trailers and all tour buses should be blacked...just private passenger vehicles.......it is way too dangerous for everyone else with those huge vehicles coming around corners some of which are borderline hairpins. Jebus, no shit. I remember coming around one of the hairpins in the Dragon and there was a semi ACROSS the hairpin. MG started hitting me upside the head to make sure I saw it... Satuit
If you want to have a ride that you wont forget try RT93 from Braintree Ma to Boston. Potholes, hubcaps, people not using turn signals, blue hairs doing 35 mph, teenagers doing 90mph (and texting), garbage trucks spilling trash out the back. Good times!
