TallRider
While this doesn't compare to the winter and spring storms I grew up with back in Minnesnowta, we've had 6" of snow and it hasn't stopped . . . and this is getting old - fast! That doesn't sound like all much snow, but when all Bainbridge Island has is three spoons and a hair dryer for snow removal equipment - it's 5" too many. We've been spared the freezing rain that has fallen around Puget Sound, but we live at the bottom of a steep incline and we may not get out of here until Friday afternoon at the earliest when the temps are supposed to rise. We've got plenty of food . . . lots of firewood . . . salt for the driveway . . . so we're prepared to lose power and still stay warm and fed and get out eventually. Valerie is bound and determined to teach her class at 7 AM at the pool tomorrow (cabin fever in the extreme), so if I can't talk her out of it I'm hoping the schools close for a third day. Riding in the rain again is going to feel like a blessing.

indian T
Funny you mentioned that. My Son is stuck in Seattle as I'm writing this. He's been up there for about a week now. He had to buy chains for his car the other day to get through some mountain pass. Bet he wishes he was back in L.A. about now. Hahahahahahahahaha. I'd rather deal with the snow though...we're colder than F@#K back here in Wisconsin.
TallRider
Misery loves company . . . and visitors. Some of the mountain passes are expecting 48" of new snow over 24 hour period.
