Pulled The Trigger

Recommended Posts

Well went ahead and bought a new 35ft Keystone Fuzion 300 toy hauler travel trailer. Went to pick it up on the west side of Michigan and brought it back to the east side of the state. I used my 1500 GMC to haul it. Thought it would do the job. The truck kept saying I think I can..I think I can..I think I can. We made it ok but it was breathing hard by the time we got home. Made up my mind it was time for a new truck to pull this thing.

I hated to get rid of that truck, had it just the way I wanted and only had 19,000 miles on it. It just would not pull 11,000 lbs. So I bought a 2011 new Ford F-350 lariat with dual wheels. It's a biggin, 22ft long, I love it and kind of takes away the pain of getting rid of the other one. The hole thing was like the tail waggin the dog but it all work out.

Good for you, Roger. :Beer-Chug[1]: I recall you considering this when visiting in Branson. Put my Toyhauler on the sale block last Friday. Was gonna call you, but the thing sold the same day. It was a 32 footer, which was larger than I needed and hard to pull when loaded. It went to Western Nodak--Campers, Trailers, Toyhaulers, RV's etc. are selling quick up here in Nodak, as housing is in short supply in western part of state

Way to go, Roger! Get one of those wheel chocks that lock the front tire in place, you'll like it. LR knows what kind to get. Mine is sorta homemade. Make sure it doesn't hit your front fender.

Luv those new F350's. Been wanting one of their new diesels, heard they're stump pullers. Gonna have to stick with my 7.3, retirement leaves no choice. It'll pull stumps too, tho.

Enjoy your new rig, you'll love it. If ya get down to Florida, give me a holler!

Break it it good!
