CatfishCalhoun
So I can't see any real differences between the three engine pics offered in the survey. The only difference I saw was some air space between the jugs. What did I miss?
mjdart
I couldn't tell differences between engines either. Decent survey with the write in section.
CatfishCalhoun
I couldn't tell differences between engines either. Decent survey with the write in section. I went back and over laid the pics and now I see the difference was one of displacement. Simple engine size. Smaller to Larger.
jglace
Go back and forth some, you will see the different angles of the jugs. Second one wider, third one narrower. Jeff
Vagabondjpm
The space in-between reflects the angle of the jugs. Indian and (traditional) HD is 45 degrees where Vics are at 50 degrees. It seems to me they are testing the waters to see if they can move to a more dependable design while keeping the pleasing ascetics we love with the engine. Freedom dependability with PowerPlus looks? Sounds like a winner to me. Where can I buy one Ride safe, Vagabond Edited June 17, 2011 by Vagabondjpm

Vagabondjpm
actually original indian motor was not 45*...... Correct, it was 42 but I was speaking of the majority of those on the board. Thank you for pointing that out.
injun46
Indian is 42, HD is 45, and Vincent is 50,except the Rapide A which was 47.5. I think the 42 config. should stay, JMHO. Now, I'm commenting on posts, NOT discussing the survey. I think it's neat they did that, gonna be a good owner of the Indian name.

Not one that appears to be squeezed into the frame. just say'n. me ride um Centennial cheers i am sure whatever was displayed was photoshopped to adjust angles and size and such.....sure nobody expected there to be 3 different bottlecap engines mocked up for real...it was a representative rendering in my opinion. Vagabondjpm
OK, nothing in that survey indicated to me anything other than asking questions of preference and demographics. There was nothing "out of the blue" in there indicating anything new we were not already aware of or speculating. Everything discussed has already been covered in one thread or another here. They simply complied it into statical data to be analyzed. Don't get your panties in a bunch as they already knew, or should have, we were going to talk about every morsel of information that comes from them. We ALWAYS do; drooling until we need a mop. Ride safe.
