It's Finally Here . . .

Recommended Posts

I've been nursing a back injury and haven't been out of the house since last Wednesday until today. Decided to go to the pool and do some deep water stretching exercises, and on the way home went by the local Chevron station on Bainbridge Island. Regular is up to $3.57 since last Wednesday when it was $3.47. And it's only February. I didn't dare look at the cost of premium.

How high will it get?

It amazes me that the gas coming out of the pump was produced when crude was under $90/barrel yet in a few days the price per gallon at the pump goes up a dime? WTF? Wonder if any of these guys own banks?

Egypt, Libya - any excuse will do...when the gas commodidity prices go up, that increase is reflected in the pump price. They say $4 is a goood guess.

Regular is 3.33 here Super Unleaded is 3.49. This always happens when I got to drag a trailer to Branson. 66 cents more expensive than this time last year.

I wonder if there is a law against a man buying a tanker full of gas here for 3 bucks a gallon, driving to Cali, selling it right out of the truck for 4.25....

Nah...Carpet Bagger is someone who exploited the southerners after the civil war. I don't see how saving .50 a gallon is exploiting. I don't think the term would have even been coined had the northerners sold us corn for .50 less than market.

Ya know the Canucks are laughing their asses off at us whining about these prices right? I bet Woody and our other European members are as well.

$3.53 for premium here on the island and the port where the tankers come in is only 2 miles away... I bet the folks in Texas with mineral rights are also smiling....

Flew in to Dallas last Thursday to bring a truck home. Filled it up Friday at $3.05 (actually $2.95 after Kroger card discount!) price went up sometime Friday to $3.19, drove it home yesterday and it was $3.09 in Texas, the further north I got, the more it went up. But only to $3.35, not the $4 plus the left coasters are paying.DAMN!!
