Last Resort
Harley is a public company so we get some details about them. Safe to say based on the cost of Indian the median income of a buyer will be at or slightly above that of Harley buyers. I would like to see the median income from Harley if they removed the incomes of people who purchase Sportsters. My assumption is that would push it up too or slightly above $90,000. Either way, Harley is not bought by the average working man/woman. Harley and Indian are bought, for the most part, by people in upper middle income and upper income brackets. The top 1/3 of income earners.

The top 1/3 of income earners. That data doesn't show that at all... that data shows that half of the buyers have income over the median and half have income under the median.... not what their incomes are(it's not an average income but a median income)... so at least half are your average working guy.... and at least half make at least the median maybe more... and you're average working family can earn 80k per year... but half could make 81K... still could be an average working man/woman So that means depending on how you interpret your data... all Harley's could be purchased by average working folk... or at least half are... there are many ways to interpret this data but to say that that Harley is not bought by average working man/woman is quite a stretch.... were you by any chance a politician in a previous or possibly next life..... Last Resort
How much does the Average American Make? Breaking Down the U.S. Household Income Numbers. The median household income in the United States is $46,326. Dual earner households have a higher median income at $67,348 50 percent of our population live on $46,000 or less a year.
