Maldev
You must have been napping brother. The SoCal Iron Indians premiered that film for our charity the night before our first dice run last June. We had the director and part of the cast there. We had several write-ups for the event and the film in Quick Throttle and such (but may not have made the nationals). I was on a local station with the director pumping our event and the film as well. The city of Anaheim gave the director his day and everything. The movie was a bootstrap production from the get-go by a first-time director. What it missed in production value, it pulls off in heart. Not a bad watch at all. Had several riders leave the screening with reddened eyes. A twist on the prodigal son story...it's the father who finally comes back to accept the family he left behind. Free Wheels East, the bicycling doco, is still working on the distribution. We have an international company and are still tying down the deal with a stateside company. We did very well at the film festivals but all the studios are slow to come up with feature money for independents.
