Rally Indochina

Recommended Posts

Now this would be a fun ride (especially if you like URAL's, like I do) . I have been to Vietnam several times, it is a great place to visit, very inexpensive, lots of cool stuff to see and do and the people are friendly, not to mention some of the most scenic areas you will ever see.

I too like Urals, I want to buy one just so my Rotty can ride with me, I don't want to sound callous, But I feel about Viet-Nam as Pete does about Japan, I have lost and continue to loose friends because of a war fought there. I would rather ride the Blue Ridge Parkway :1106:

It was sure f'ucked up last time I was there. We did our best to trash it.

I've spent plenty of time in some of the places on this ride.

It was a beautiful place though. I'd sure like to see what it looks like now.

Most of the population today wasn't even around during the war. (Way more than half.) It would be equivalent to my 16 year old relating to WWI. (No association with it at all other than it being history of the country.) There is no animosity toward westerners and a lot of Nam vets go back to visit. And that ride down the trail would be amazing. Edited by Vintage229

Yeah, I don't think I would have the balls to do it, The DEMONS must be tremendous, I hurt because I wasn't there for them, Both happened when I was on a trip I now have a demon of my own.

Great video clip, I have been to many of the places this ride takes you. If you ever get the chance to visit Vietnam, I would highly recommend it, I sure wish I could do this ride. Now a ride through Afghanistan, would not be that fun, and it is much to dangerous, for now at least. Happy Turkey Day, Ride Safe, Satdiver
