Minneapolis Riders - Tonight (Thursday, Aug 5)

Recommended Posts

If anyone is in town and out riding... My band is playing at the Father Hennepin Bluffs park bandshell near St. Anthony Main. I won't be riding, cuz I can't fit my guitar and amp on my bike yet... need to figure that one out someday.

I would love to see a few Indians ride up to my "Indian" show...

Anyway, here's information about the gig and where it is.

Hey ToddWhiteEarth -

Are you "The Neighborhood Trio"?? It was the group booked for Aug05.. If that is your group, just listened to some of your music posted on your website..nice easy listening.. liked "Lights Are Going Down", good beat and liked the vocals also!

I'd come listen to ya, but to far from Kalifornia, your group would fit in nice at some of the wineries around town here...

Thanks for sharing!:Beer-Chug[1]:

I'm Todd from White Earth "rez" (but I live near Minneapolis). We're not the "Neighborhood Trio". Mitch Walking Elk is a good friend and fellow musician. He usually gigs alone. I "field" a full band for him, when he has a gig that calls for it.

You can see my stuff at SugarPointBand.com We also have a few songs on our MySpace Page The stuff is a bit out of date. Been on hiatus.. and working with Mitch for the last several months.

If you ever come through town, shoot me a message and I'll let you know if we're gigging.

Love to see your band sometime. Give us more advanced notice next time so we can plan for it and get it on the calandar. With enough notice, people will go out of their way to check it out. :blues:

Hey Todd.

If you know Mitch Walking Elk and back him up on occasion, then you must know my good friend (and fellow Menononee tribe member) Wade Fernandez.

He tours with Mitch when Mitch plays Europe.

Yes, I do know Wade. We had a gig with Wade (we = my band and Mitch) at the Cedar Cultural Center a few months ago. We did it back in 2007 with him as well. At that time, he showed up alone. This time he brought his band. He's a great player and songwriter. Extremely nice and humble guy.

Yes he is.

I'm going to check on him at the Indian Summer Festival in Milwaukee this September. He plays this gig almost every year.
