Airpirate
It didn't snow up here today, so at lunch I jumped on my trusty scooter and rode down to a little Mexican resturant in town. I got a parking spot right outside the front door. I got some steak tacos and a 7 oz Corona and sat outside at a small table. I was there about 30 mins, in that time I gad 4 different people walk past my bike, stop look at me and ask "Is that your Indian?" ( I'm the only guy there wearing a black IIR shirt). Then they all say two things; "Wow I didn't know Indian still made motorcycles" "You know my uncle used to ride one in the 40's" The other comments are "WOW for a 60 year bike, it looks like new" Two people said "wow an Indian, that's sooo cool to see, them Harley's are a dime a doz"

TallRider
Same thing happens on the ferry . . . and my fellow rider commuters now just role their eyes they've heard the conversation so often. It happens even more often on the weekends. "Is that a REAL Indian?" "My grandfather . . . " "We have one stored in the barn back in . . . " . . . and on and on. Scalper38
I ran into a guy today in NC (at the HD dealership no less) that said he actually owned an Indian 4 and sold it a couple years ago for about $31K. Now he just owns a 96 HD special edition of some sort. I kept trying to get him to go over to Moses' shop and buy a new Indian but don't think I was successful. Oh well, always fun to talk to those old guys!
