Unsung Heroes

Recommended Posts

We lost one of the Captains on our dock yesterday. Capt. John of the clam boat Silver Fox dove into the water to save a mate who had fallen overboard 2 miles SE of Nantucket. He was able to reach the mate and hold on to him but by the time they were both pulled from the water, John had suffered a fatal heart attack. The mate survived. Thank God for our unsung heroes.

What a true test of a man, a leader and captain. It is hard to honor such a person, that with out fear they will go out to help another man.

RIP Captain John.

Sad to hear of the loss of your friend. I was raised on the water and have experienced a similar loss. My Pops was a boat captain on the Chesapeake Bay. Prayers for the family.

sorry to hear of his loss...but the man that is willing to risk it all to save another human being....is a hero in any tradition. God Bless his soul.
