stu
Always said, legalize it tax the shit out of it,maybe it would take care of the national, debt!!!! LOL I agree with everything except tax the shit out of it... tax it a little and still get rid of the national debt and reduce in the costs to penalize its use. Sounds like a win-win whether you partake or not....
Dr. Mark
Nah. It makes too much sense. Besides, there are way too damn many people in and out of the government that have a vested interest in keeping it demonized. They'll fight this tooth and nail...because it's how they make a living. -Doc
Doc Loco
Hempseed oil can be produced in vast quantities for biodiesel can make up for much of our depenence on foriegn fossil fuel raw materials.Ain't nothin' wrong with renewable energy. Can replace tobbaco production in many areas and not displace food crops causing food shortages and famine. It's about more than just a legal buzz. Besides Agribusiness commercial crops would never reach microgrower quality levels. Price levels for microgrown would be significantly higher than those of commercial sources even with the gene splicing already undertaken. Would become a dynamo of economic wealth in this fuktup ecosytem.

They just see it as new revenue to spend ... any new money THEY get will NEVER be spent to pay off the credit card.

Ricksza
Always said, legalize it tax the shit out of it,maybe it would take care of the national, debt!!!! LOL The reason that they didn't want to legalize it was, it was too hard to control. Any one can grow their own with no tax. Just like brewing your own beer. Chfyellowhorse
Well, it is a little easier to grow pot than to brew beer. I agree, this is the main reason it is not legalized, very easy to grow the stuff, it is like a WEED.

Compare this to Bill Clinton's "It depends on what your definition of the word 'is' is." or "I did not inhale" sidestepping the issues. Hitman
I have always said that "they" should legalize it the same way as they do with alcohol. Make it a 21-and-up product, package it just like cigarettes, with filters and warning labels and the whole nine yards. And as with alcohol, you limit and regulate the THC content. DUI's and other alcohol-related laws still apply, as they already do. Price a pack around $20-$25, and you've got yourself legal weed. "Yes, but kids will get their hands on it!" - No shit! Kids get their hands on beer and booze now! "But what if I am in public and I don't want second-hand weed smoke?" - Deal with it the same way you do cigarette smoke; don't stand near smokers. "But won't a lot of people get hooked on it?" - No more so than get hooked on booze; way less than get hooked on "hard-drugs". Be an adult and have some self control for cryin' out loud! "But won't people smoke weed and drive?!" - They already do, Sweetheart. Get caught: Go to jail. Same as already happens now. And no, I don't currently smoke weed, nor would I run out and smoke some if it were now legal.
