TallRider
Being just a stone's throw from Vancouver, I'm pissed as hell that those of you on the East coast can watch the Olympics live while those of use in the same time zone as the games have to watch them on delay! Glad that NBC has at least decided to broadcast on MSNBC, CNBC, USA and US. So . . . who skates away with Hockey Gold? Team USA or Canada? I've been watching the women's teams play and it's nice to see so many players from the WCHA on the team. I was watching Team USA play the other day and watched Jocelyne Lamoureux put on a move that I didn't believe . . . skating in on the net moving to her left, putting the puck between her legs and shifting to her right, and flipping it in to the back of the net like she did it every day! I miss the checking that's absent from the women's game, but man - can they fly down the ice! Is this going to be two gold medals for Team USA men and women? Two golds for Canada? A split? Get me a ladder or at least a couple telephone books. <laugher-games> <grin>.
Joehoward
Long time hockey fan here. I would love to see the USA men win but I really think it will come down to Canada and Russia with the gold going to Canada. Women's hockey... really there are only two teams. USA and Canada. I think that the USA will win the gold there. Joe

TallRider
Hey . . . don't get me wrong . . . Canada should still be favored (home ice, cult following, preponderance of talent, Canadian game and all that) . . . but USA now has a bye and goes right to the quarter finals of the medal round . . . that day off could be worth a goal or two. As for Miller, nice to see a former CCHA player perform so well in the clutch. I don't know about gold, but the guy has some brass ones . . . RedWazoo
That was one helluva great game today, the extra day of rest will help a lot to try and grab the gold.

We stunk the place up at first but because of the longer route to the medal round we ended up Gold. I'm sure you all remember that.

I'm sure you all remember that. I wouldn't say you guys "stunk" anything up, Canada was all over USA, outshot em like 3 to 1 I think, just ran into a hot goalie that stole one for the USA...I wouldn't be suprised to see a re-match for the gold medal game... K9RANGER
I have to say "USA ALL THE WAY" because Jamie Langenbrunner was behind me a couple years in high school. Canada played a better game though from what I hear. (I was working)
