Check out the dash in the photo collage. Jane Emory Chief Well my friend you are hitting another subject near and dear to my heart. That's the bike I almost bought and for less than their $35,280 asking price. Remember the standard model had a big drop in price and the ride for 6 months free prgram discounts. First of all it's a 2009 standard with long fenders and special leather. That's it nothing more nothing less. The special leather is Jane Emore not Emory - St. Pete has the add fucked up and I told them that a dozen times but they are too ..... (pick a word) to change it. Jane's website is http://www.emoreleather.com/ and she does custom leather work for motorcycles and custom saddles for horse riding. ALL of the leather items are on the Indian website under accesories. There is another one of these bikes at the KM factory - I saw it during my tour last week. I ended up buying a 2009 standard, add long fenders, add oe tan vintage fringe, passenger seat, backrest, small luggage rack, fringe for floorboards and hand grips. I pick it up in the spring as our riding season finished. Should be snowing in the next couple days again. Will look something like this when done. Dr. Mark
Not sure why but the rear mud flap does not fit properly IMHO. That's cuz they didn't install it right. And that saddle is hard as hell. Looks great, but it's hard as hell. And yeah, all that stuff is from Emore Leather in Waxhaw, North Carolina, and can be boughten from the factory or from any dealer. Emore Leather -Doc Emore is old school hayburner stiff saddle/harness maker. Someone needs to introduce 'em to ProPad installs. It would be a fine looking, comfortable saddle with a propad insert in there. Too soft and your butt will go to sleep from poor circulation...next thing you know your legs disobey your brain commands cause of momentary paralysis on a long ride. joel3078
You guys ever felt a horse saddle? They are hard as hell! How do those cowboys sit in the saddle all day long driving cattle and going cross country on horses? On that Emore bike seat - add a 3rd party gizmo to top of seat and it would be fine. Stock seat on my 1800 Goldwing sucked!!! Added an airhawk for 120 bucks and life was good again. Lots of good quality gel or airpads are available nowadays. There is even a cheapy 40 buck one that wallymart has - combo air and water. Few of the guys on the Goldwing forum love the heck out of them. That bike in St. Pete also comes with the stock Chief Standard seat by the way.

Harleynot
Wow, my question has been answered and in great detail, you guys are good!!! Most of those answering your questions are IIRA members as well. Core IIRA members on this public forum have been at this for quite awhile, IIRA members have many different skill sets. You need to know that you are interacting with IIRA members on here daily, perhaps that is not clear. * To answer Wildrose's earlier questions...Do we ride together? Of course! There are IIRA rider groups all over the world. IIRA groups hold their own gatherings and rides in addition to other local community charity functions. Is IIRA good to join? You are getting your free help/advice on here from IIRA members! Need a part? Just ask? A good starting point to meet and greet everyone on here is any of the posted gatherings that happen thruout the year.Branson has become THE largest post WWII Indian Motorcycle gathering there is, although ANY type of bike is always welcome. Many members also own 1901-1953 Indians as well. The IIRA does not care what type of motorcycle you choose to ride or bring. Keep Mid-May open for travel to Hunters Friend Resort, Indian Point MO. you won't be disappointed ! The initiation ceremony is no that tough to pass... http://www.ironindian.com/ Riders Gear, additional help/info and benefits here..
