Prayers Needed

Recommended Posts

The wife called me today, and informed me that our 6 yr. old grandson has been diagnosed, with the "Swine Flu"...I don't know too much about this thing except a guy I work withs 7 yr. old cousin died last week from this thing. He was feeling fine, Cameron that is, 2 days ago...then developed a monster fever...

So, if you could, say a prayer for the little fella, his name is Cameron, but we all call him "Cookie"...

Thanks,

Your Pal,

Al

Good word sent. I have been following this flu series and can say they are making headway getting a hold of this thing. Take care, be strong.

The power of prayer is an awesome thing. Stay strong, have faith, believe and pray often.

Our prayers are with you.

We have 3 & 5 yr old boys, and it kinda scares the shit out of us.

They say that it will spread through the schools most.

The little guy will have to be home for a week. Give him a hug from all of us.

Prayers up from SoCal for yer kinfolk.

Good thing is, most people do not die from the swine flu. I have a co-worker that just recovered from a diagnosed case of SF. He was off work less than a week.

Great news y'all!!! Fever broke sometime during the night!!! He woke up his regular old self!!!

They say if you catch it early enough, and can break the fever soon enough, that you're Almost out of

the woods...His fever hasn't returned in 24 hours, so, let's just see what happens...thanks again,

Your Pal,

Al

Good deal, Al. It's way more dangerous in babies and old people than anyone else.

About every other patient I'm seeing in the ER has it.

The rapid flu swabs will tell you within an hour if it's Influenza A or B.

If it's positive for A, you can be pretty much assured that it's swine flu.

The good news is, it's not near as bad as the media has made it out to be.

Is it dangerous?

Sure.

But so is Influenza B... bottom line is, you can die from any type influenza.

You can also die from pneumonia, strep throat, chicken pox....and so far, more people have died this year from plain ol' staph infections than from swine flu.

Take some common sense precautions. Wash your hands. Get your immunizations.

(And don't ride one of them damn motor-sickles. Them things are dangerous!)
