Firefinder
Still have a hangover, but how bout them Tigers. Got punched in the mouth, took it and kicked some buckeye ass. I mean, that's assuming a buckeye has an ass. OK, I have no idea what a buckeye is, but that's not the point. Just goes to show that once again the SEC is clearly the best football conference in the US. This is why college football needs a playoff since the best team in America almost didn't even get into the championship game. Anyway, I know I've been away for a while, but I am back and will be visiting much more often. G E A U X Tigers FireFinder

Firefinder
did i mention matt flynn is from tyler tx ? And one hell of a kid. Not a bad QB either. Sat as a back-up for three years behind Jamarcus Russell who was the #1 QB prospect in the nation coming out of High School. Flynn was also highly rated and probably could have been a 3 or 4 year starter at 95% of the colleges in the U.S. but stuck with it and played well when called upon. Beat out another #1 QB prospect in the Spring and won the starting job his Senior year. Now he leaves LSU the QB of a National Championship team. Something Russell never accomplished. Nice Story. Probably the best player ever to come out of Tyler Texas...... Just joking. How bout that Tyler Rose? In the words of Bum Phillips when asked if Earl Cambell was in a class by himself he stated "I don't know if he's in a class by himself, but I guaran damn tee ya it don't take long to call the Roll"

Firefinder
Now if the Saints win the Superbowl, all will be right with the world. Firefinder
Makes the hogs look a little better huh? Yep, it do. That Arkansas game always scairs us Tiger fans. It is never easy (Most SEC games aren't), but it seems Arkansas always gets pumped up a little more against LSU than against other teams. Maybe its my imagination. Cherokee Chief
Hell yes you better be scared of the Razorbacks now that the NUTT is gone. See ya next year where do they play Fayetteville or LSU? If it is Fayetteville I have tickets for next year. Kevin

Hopefully your new coach will make it through a full season. He has certainly shown that if a more interesting job comes along he will drop the Hogs like a sack of potatos. Good coach. Not much character, but a good coach.
Cherokee Chief
Firefinder, keep in touch I may have a spare ticket for the game if you are interested in coming to Fayetteville. Are you coming to IRIP ? If so lets talk. Kevin

Dr. Mark
SEC is 7-2 in bowls games this year...damn straight! I have to say, I was really SHOCKED that Florida gacked like that. Arkansas, that was sorta (SORTA) understandable, what with the coaching upheaval, and the McFadden/Escalade business... But, damn, y'all, we were THIIIIIIS close to a 9-0 SEC bowl season. What was funny was, the LSU fans chanting "S-E-C! S-E-C! S-E-C!" It REALLY pissed off the Big 10 and Pac-10 fans over on the ESPN fan boards. I mean REALLY pissed them off, LOL! -Doc

If it is Fayetteville I have tickets for next year.Kevin In the past the LSU game has always been in Little Rock at War Memorial Stadium. Has it been moved? The 'Backs play two or three games a year down there. There has been a movement to have all games at Fayetteville, but that is being met with strong resistance from Little Rock based alumni. Maybe the powers in Fayetteville have won out. I looked for the 2008 schedule on HogWired.com, but it ain't posted yet, which is strange in itself. I thought everyone's schedules were set three-four years in advance.

Coaching upheaval or whatever, it was a poor showing.

Cherokee Chief
The schedule came out yesterday and the LSU game is in Little Rock. I would rather staple my head to the carpet than drive to Little Rock and see a game there. The money alumni have managed to keep the games at that ailing stadium. That is another argument that will stay going for some time. Appears they loose money as that stadium is barley bigger than some high school stadiums. We do play Texas again!!!!!!
