Furyous
I am looking at getting some custom paint thrown on the bike and wanted to know if you guys knew of anyone in the So Cal area who does it at a reasonable price. I checked with 909 choppers but they are pretty booked up.
Maldev
Contact Tony at 909.261.1554. He has a couple of painters, one of which is handling my custom paint on the 210 Scout. Very reasonable prices Tell Tony that Robert sent you. Edited July 27, 2007 by Maldev

indian al
If your looking for custom paint dont go with the lowest price because you get what you pay for. Some shops will have pictures of their previous work so look at those before you decide. To just go on price would be a mistake in my opinion. It was on a ranch and the painting room was a closet with dust everywhere. I got a quote from Lil' Louie who is local here and well respected in the hot rod world (he does bikes too and has a huge professional shop), for $1,800 for some really custom stuff I wanted, Tony came up with $2,500 for the same job and he would have to send it to one of his painters elsewhere. Only problem with Lil' Louie is the wait on getting it done, He has a long line 909 choppers has a talented guy but they are the guys on the horse/donkey ranch and seem to be good ol' boys but a bit less then clean painting environment If I needed a bike chopped they would probably be my first choice. I am still looking for a good painter to do the job at around $1,500 or so (909 choppers quote) so I am still looking around. If it takes too much longer to find someone I will just wait out Lil' Louie Thanks for the input guys
2blackbelts
If you don't mind sending the parts to Branson, MO., my painter Nathan Curry does all my custom paint. Many of the forum guys have seen it, and his work is outstanding and reasonable. I have three bikes going into magazines, (two in American Iron, one in Road Bike) Indian, Honda Chopper, and FXR, that Nathan painted. Plus, American Iron is getting ready to do a paint feature on him as well. Call Nathan on his cell at 417-294-2877. He can do any artwork or graphics you want. Tell him Doctor Gary sent you. Good luck 2 blackbelts

MOE
I tried to let this go by but I can'tWhy in the fuck would you repaint your bike? well mike, i'm not exactly repainting it. he is going to sand the entire bike and shoot it with diamond dust. that is the most amazing stuff i have ever seen, it sparkles all different colors when the sun hits it, or when its under lighting, the only color difference will be a black stripe over and down each side and the top of the bags. i was told that was the only reason i didn't win best of show at sturgis. too much gold on rear of bike, and i had thought it was out of balance also. i think the biggest difference i am making will be engraving a lot of the chrome in indian designs. i think i will get that done on the pushrods, nacelle, coil cover, spots, trigger, rocker boxes and taillight. the bike will be the same color but have 2-3 times the depth it does now....................mo Edited August 6, 2007 by blackhawk chief

Chickaloon Rider
I like your wheels as well. Post photos of paint when she's done. I prefer Black, with gold accents or stripes and hand painted name. Maybe diamond dust can spice it up a little while still being black.
