Micmac
Chester A. Arthur was born in Canada, our 21st President I believe. He assumed his brothers identity who perished as a child. Arnold would beat any of the others out there Hillary included. She will actually be our next president. I will vote McCain in the primary as a matter of respect for his service to our nation. George Bush & "Shotgun" Cheny have assured a Democratic victory. I will leave the country when she gets elected. Thor, I will take you bike as far as Newfoundland, get a boat and come get it. badndn
My prediction...The liberal media will court Hillary and Obama as long as they can. Both will start to slide as America wakes up. Edwards may see a jump in the polls. May be too little too late. If the Dems nominate Hillary or Obama, either will lose in a landslide. Hillary is an pre-programmed idiot and Obama has no experience. I don't know what the republicans will do. Probably Rudy. Another pre-programmed idiot without a mind of his own. But I will do like most other Americans...When forced to choose between Hillary and "whoever", I will choose WHOEVER. I just can't imagine that America is stupid enough to elect Hillary. Too bad Arnold wasn't born here. I would vote for him in a minute.

homer
i tend to make up my mind on people, issues, etc based on what i see in them...i do tend to be more liberal than conservative, on some issues...more conservative than liberal on other issues...but definitely more liberal...sorry guys...(depending on the issue)...i normally don't bother to vote, cuz like i said...don't make too much of a difference to "homer"..and i'm selfish..but i'll vote this time...guess since i'm normally more liberal i'll have to vote for whoever the dems put up since my dem friends will tell me to vote for anybody but the republican candidate....makes it easy for me.. i'll just cross my fingers and hope for gridlock... eric

badndn
why? Why?...he rides an Indian. At least he used to. Gooda reason as most,... I guess. Seriously...Why not? I mean...look what we have to compare him too. I watched a little of the youtube debate the other night and it was absurd. All of them standing up there....stiff as boards....grasping the podiums, trying to look and sound Presidential. Trying to remember all the cute quotes they have memorized. Taking every chance they got to court their preferred minority. Like any really give a shit about minorities...BTW, republicans are full of shit too....They just more fit MY beliefs. I am conservative, anti-abortion and don't believe in give away programs. I believe the Federal Goverment should for the most part should get the hell out of our lives...and our pocketbooks. It is truly picking the lesser of the two evils. So sad...so sad. I hope someone would come along and rescue us, but it ain't looking good. Whoever wins...we lose. firebird77clone
my prediction: the republicans will take it PROVIDED they can provide ONE strong canidate. Why? the dems are gonna be split between Hill and Obam. The blacks have historically represented a solid base for Dem votes. They will go for Obam. the remainder of the Dems will be split between Ob. and Hill. Some of the Rep. women will vote for Hill, but not so many that their husbands won't balance it out. Also, a lot of Dems are gonna realize that either a woman or a black in office = lots of extra drama, and they will switch to the packaderms. SO.. provided the Reps don't split their votes between two strong canidates, they are bound to win. I am studying speaking POP, how am I doin'? homer
well i'm anti-abortion too..but from a pro-choice stance...i.e... i think there are several situations where abortion needs to be (rape, incest, mother's life in danger, etc..). and if i had to make the choice (in normal scenarios), i'd choice to have the lil fukka... I think you're overestimating that a black person will vote for someone at the presidential level just because they are black..in these days at least..plus, only one can run for president......and i have no proof on this mind you...but i wouldn't, and most of the minorities I know wouldn't... personally, i don't know that this country will ever have a "non-white", non-male president...we are too racist and sexist...i also don't think we will ever have a president with a name like obama....but then again, my state elected a woman....only because there was an indian (or "whatever") running against her..i guess that makes us progressive, lol....now looks like we will elect that indian....but there's a good ole boy coming up...i got a feeling when it comes time to pull that lever, things may go back to status quo... i also think any politician who aspires to be president doesn't get to that level without plenty of favors and skeletons. none are "noble" at that level...there are no "good guys"...or girls for that matter. none can truly represent my morals, and they do/say what they think will get them elected...in my estimation, the two party system sux.. eric
Micmac
i predict a hil-obam ticket Mo, I think one of em will hook up with that pretty boy from Chapel Hill for the sympathy vote cause his wife is dying. I have been a life-long Republican (except when Ross Perot ran, I voted for him because of Admiral Stockdale's service to our nation). George Bush and Shotgun have ruined our chances for re-taking the white house. Get used to it, Hillary will be our next president, well yours, I'm going to Canada or New Zealand. I'll stay here and bitch all the time. It's my country...good or bad. I have said all along Edwards in the man to beat. He is electable. Hillary isn't. I would imagine the republicans have a scandal waiting in the wings on her. We will probably get Rudy. The sad thing is, Hillary or Obama wouldn't even be thought of if it weren't for the media cramming it down peoples throat 24/7. My gosh, before the elections CNN turns into Democratic Party Headquarters. EVERY day you have people that do nothing but Bush-bash and promote withdrawal of troops from Iraq. If he throw enough shit against the wall, some of it will stick. That is exactly what we get with the Democratic party....shit that stuck. As far as issues like aborton...you can't vote for a Democrat and say you are against abortion. When you vote for a party, you vote for all the things it stands for. I have a sister who votes straight Democrat ticket. But, she says she is against abortions, big goverment and higher taxes. When she votes for a Democrat, she is empowering them to vote along party lines. Which they all do 90% of the time. Especially about big issues. Vote based on what you believe in, not for a party. Not for change. Vote your conscience.
Brock
Arnold is only Republican in party...many of his beliefs are liberal. Right now I would likely vote for a Thompson and Romney ticket.... As far as Hillary...she is the MOST unqualified candidate up there. If she was not the First Lady she would not even be thought about. She has served as Senator in NY one term and through osmosis or some other trick of fate she is the most qualified woman out there? I dont think so... Condoleza Rice is far, far more qualified to lead this country than Hillary. Obama is not far behind... Micmac
I believe she could win. She ain't running. Fred Thompson has represented abortion rights groups, then denied it. He was a good actor on "Law and Order" though. I guess he was a good senator. Rommny recently "converted" to conservativism. He has supported gay rights and abortion in recent history. Personally, I don't care about these things, but it is about credibility. If you believe in something tell us, don't say what you think we want to hear, that is Clintonesque. I wish General Powell would run, he would win. Eddie, I will still maintain my citizenship and own property here, I just believe if she (HC) gets in it will be the begining of the end. Seriously. It will end up like Katrina on steroids here. Edited July 26, 2007 by Micmac
