Looking through DaddyG website with his songs and lyrics and laughed again on the LoneWolf song when it mentions the Kama Sutra Master on his RedHotBitch (BROCK)....

Thanks G....it did me good to sit there and listen to them all again yesterday and think about where we were as an organization back then....and of those in our numbers we have lost to a higher calling. Puts things back in perspective...at least for me.

thanks for sharing your talent with us.....if you get some more songs together I would be willing to buy a CD of Indian related songs.

Thanks especially for Lumpy's Tune.

It was my honor, sir. Although I didn't know your son...his passing touched me deeply. Seems he was much loved man.

A phrase I've much reflected on for awhile now..."we aren't here for a long time, we're here for a good time." Remember the good times.

  • 2 weeks later...

So...I get all motivated and decide it's time to put together a few new tunes. I'm 3/4 the way through completing the first one, and my DAW decides to crash. Damn! DAW is "digital audio workstation". Pretty sure the processor finally took a dump..might be the motherboard too, so I'm stuck.

For those of you not computer geeks...this probably won't mean much. Some of you might appreciate this.

I built a "roll your own" DAW probably 10 years ago. It's really nothing more then a system completely dedicated to music production; minimal software & simple configuration ensures the system remains alot more stable. Based on the Abit BH6 board, slot 1 type processor, this thing has performed unbelievably over the years. It was one of the first "overclocker" boards. I had a 266 Mhz Celeron processor in it overclocked to almost 500Mhz. In 97, those were big numbers. Now with speeds of of 3 plus Ghz that seems pretty slow, but it aptly performed great on projects of 30+ tracks.

Got a replacement mobo & chip on the way. Cheaped it out on Ebay; $35 for a Asus board with a 700 Mhz processor, which was still an upgrade from what I had.

Hopefully Windows wont have a shit fit with this hardware change and I can get back to recording pretty quickly. If you've ever done this...you know what I mean. So...some more tunes are coming.

Grumpy...I'm gonna hit that landmark myself this year. Damn!
