Hangtown
WOW $10 S/H I hope that is next day air!!! something that light and small should not cost anymore than $5 to ship This is the main reason I hate buy anything over the internet, the s/h is too damn high. it's not just the cost of shipping. you forget....or probably don't know, about overhead. you see, it costs money for the shipping company, packaging material, boxes, labeling, and, of course, paying the people to do it all. unless you have major volume (which we don't) and are able to make a deal with a company like UPS, you pay their prices...period. i can't ship that item within California for less than $8.00 without the overhead costs. no it's not over night. if it was, it would be A LOT more. whether you bought it over the internet or called directly, it would be the same price. if we could do it for cheaper, we would, but we can't. i could send a guy yo the post office because it's cheaper to ship mail, but then i have to pay for him to go, the gas, and maintenace on the vehicle. we could also add $5.00 to the price and only charge $5.00 shipping....but we don't operate like that. we feel that even with the shipping costs (which we don't make ANYTHING on), the item is still very affordable for what it is. obviously, you have no idea. but thats ok, we do. Mongo
I understand about over head and I do have an Idea of how it works. But why would you ship UPS and be over charged for the boxes and shipping, when you can ship USPS and get their priorty boxes for free and shipping priorty cost are less than UPS even if you add ins. I will also have you know that I have worked in a company where a lot of shipping was done and we only used the over priced shippers when the size or weight was too much for USPS to handle. To many of you companys think UPS is the only way to go, you all need to wake up and see that they are shafting you thus in return you shaft your customers also FYI USPS has on line postage. UPS has been very good for our business (and yes we have tried others), however, overall UPS has been the best. bottom line, if you feel we're shafting you, it's pretty damn simple, DONT BUY ANYTHING FROM US. Spiritman
I have to agree with mongo, $10.00 is high. I'm in WV and ship from my store every day. It cost $4.26 to ship a 1lb box to a buisness or $5.26 to a home in CA frrom here. That is UPS pricing. You don't have to insure because up to $100.00 is covered by them. TribalChief
if you feel we're shafting you, DONT BUY ANYTHING FROM US. I think I will open a car dealership and have this as my motto.Better yet, start any company for that matter that sells any kind of product, and see what happens to my business with an attitude like that. u2168
I have bought from Warpath. They make nice products for Indians. Their prices in my opinion are fair. I for one are glad there is still individuals comitted to the Indian motorcycle. If a person wants to get ripped off for parts go to E-BAY.
