Putting the break in miles on the rebuild today and rode out near Huntsville and St. Paul, Arkansas the gates to the Pig Trail (Highway 23).

Outside of Elkins, AR I see an old black Chief sitting in front of a former gas station. I do a double take and a quick turn around and low and behold there stands Frenchie (the former owner of the Indian Motocycle Cafe in Alpena, Arkansas). Frenchie is walking without a cane following his deer kill on his other 46 Chief. He says hello to everyone and would like to put together another Vintage Indian Rally sometime in the future. Good to see him as rumor had it he was in New Orleans. Apparently he has been riding around the country since he and his wife Paula called it quits.

Glad he's doing better -

But I'll pass on any events he has planned...

Thanx, Danny

Yeh Frenchie.

At the Mtn Wolfpack (Colorado) Annual ride last September I was told by Phil the Griz that Frenchie had been up there in those neck of the woods. He was riding around the country seeing America.

Glad to hear he is without the walking cane.
