Vagabondjpm
The Boston website says a great deal about his character, “We've just lost the nicest guy in rock and roll.” RIP Ride safe, Vagabond

Scalper38
My favorite band growing up and still very high on the list. Never heard a song of theirs that I didn't like. He will be missed.

Blackdog
Saw them last here in Cali at the Mid State Fair Summer before last - couln't believe how much they sounded spot on after those years and with a few new musicians. Sad when you spent your youth on Boston - where Boston was huge - to have an icon pass. He will be missed. But I guess he's "Gonna hitch a ride...head for the other side...leave it all behind...never change my mind"
Scalper38
Who? They were "just another band out of Boston, on the road to try to make ends meet"

Blackdog
Yes. But Boston was always ..."Smokin" He was in Aerosmith? Actually I think Aerosmith was not from Boston - wasn't it more like Brockton or something? Or maybe Lynn, Lynn City of Sin? Maldev
Yes. But Boston was always ..."Smokin" Actually I think Aerosmith was not from Boston - wasn't it more like Brockton or something? Or maybe Lynn, Lynn City of Sin? Aerosmith was one of the most popular hard rock bands of the '70s, setting the style and sound of hard rock and heavy metal for the next two decades with their raunchy, bluesy swagger. The Boston-based quintet found the middle ground between the menace of the Rolling Stones and the campy, sleazy flamboyance of the New York Dolls, developing a lean, dirty riff-oriented boogie that was loose and swinging and as hard as a diamond. Scalper38
DAMN! All that crap about Aerosmith on a thread about the lead singer for Boston. IMO Boston is WAAAAYYY better than Aerosmith.
Maldev
Sorry about that. I only meant to grab the first paragraph to show BD they were from Boston.
indian T
Lastest report: Suicide by carbon monoxide poisoning. I've seen Aeorosmith several times. Once on their first climb, once at their drugged out pathetic worst, and twice after their resurgence. They've gotten a little too "poppy" for my taste, although I do like most of their from "Pump" on back. "Done With Mirrors" is actually a very good album. If you like that bluesy-swaggery rock and roll, like the article posted by Robert, then you'll probably like this one. Boston...Good band... The only knock I have on Boston is the very similar sounding albums they came out with...1st one sounded like the 2nd one (a lot). Otherwise, good stuff.
