tell your son to be safe...it dont get no easier...trust me...even for those of us that go there.  Multiple times in sandbox....more times in Bosnia than I can count...a sixpack in uganda and congo and kenya...  hell, each time you go you remember the shit you hated last time even more...

I will be thinking of him...and everyone else over there and that is still in kosovo, bosnia, afghanistan and iraq...everyone forgets about all the little things we are still doing...LIKE HAITI and the PHILLIPINES!

Today is my first day of terminal leave after almost 21 years...has not set in yet...but a good job will help immensley..hahaha

see ya in daytona...

To  all that have love ones serving anywhere, the next time you talk to them tell them we are all proud that they are following in the footsteps of all of us that have served before them. May God bless and watch over them untill they return.

Brock63 as one ole wardog to another, you will love retirement, take a little time off before jumping full bore into a new job. After 20 yrs in the AF,the last 16 as a combat flight crewmember/flight instructor/flight examiner I didn't realize how burnt out I was from all the deployments and day to day grind, untill I took a couple of mo off after I retired. Gives ya a whole new outlook.

Tell your son Semper Fi , he deserves it! Is he riding , as well? If so let him know the Leathernecks are always looking for a few good men as well , I'll hook him up with the right people!

Don't think he is going to make it!,he doesn't think he can get the extra leave that soon.Am still working on it!.

He will be on the ground at Pendelton Fri. night.

I wish him and the other service members there the best. I spent the 1st 6 months of the war in Iraq, and I hope I don't have to go back. Several Seabees from here in Port Hueneme were hit by a mortar attack last week, one young SW3 killed and several wounded, all people I work with. God Bless them all. Ride Safe, AW :moped:

No2-

If your son is coming back this weekend, then he was over there the same time I was.  I am pretty sure I know which battalion.  Awesome guys, I floated with them last year, and worked with them this time as well.  If I am correct, then as of the time I post this, he should be wining his way home even as I write this.  Tell him welcome back for me.

To Brock and all other peacemakers/warriors/patriots near and far, thanks from this grateful American.  I'll be riding in the 9/11 "Freedom Isn't Free" Parade in Ft. Worth Saturday for you, my Dad (106th Inf. Div., overrun and captured in the "Bulge", liberated Easter Sunday 1945) and everyone else's son and/or daughter still "over there" not able to ride themselves.

Over the years I haven't said "thanks" enough, and I'm sure you haven't heard it enough.  So again, Thanks!

I'll spot you the gas $$ and room.

Just be sure to leave the gay porn at home...

Thanks, Danny
