Greybeard
There are 3 kinds of people in this world 1. Those that MAKE THINGS HAPPEN. 2. Those that WATCH THINGS HAPPEN. 3. Those that ask (bitch) about WHAT HAPPENED. Maybe someone here can help MAKE THINGS HAPPEN. I figure this information should have no problem in the coming days 'reaching' the people in need. I have a small company Striker Systems (20 employees) which has produced windows based software for the sheet metal fabrication industry for 20 years. I will hire immediately a computer programmer (C++ Autocad exp wonderful!) who has LOST EVERYTHING to Katrina. I will hire immediately a traveling computer software installation tech type person who has LOST EVERYTHING to Katrina. Thunder Heart Performance also will provide the same for a person. This person just needs SOME experience or connection to the 'motorcycle' industry. Sales, service, techsupport, manufacturing. Any experience at all. I will 'personally' see that each of these persons/families is provide housing and transportation (loaner car) for ATLEAST 60 days after employement begins to help them begin recovery from this terrible situation. Pay advances as needed. We are located in a very nice area just north (15 miles) from Nashville, Tn. Please email me if interested persons are found at kevin@striker-systems.com Now, let's make it happen!

earthgoddes2
i was reading updates about the devistation of katrina and came across this disturbing paragraph.... ' Nagin said the city had the authority to force residents to evacuate but didn't say if it was taking that step. He did, however, detail one heavy-handed tactic: Water will no longer be handed out to people who refuse to leave' .... :veryangry:

Wild Hare
Not that I don't think this is important, but Last Resort sent me a Private Message about this. We have a NEED right here within our own group and I don't see him going out of the way to send everyone a private message. So.. Last Resort.. do not send me private messages unless YOU are willing to stand up and do the right thing within our own FAMILY.. Send a copy of the Post regarding Members Death Benefits to every member... Since this is "YOUR" website.

Royce
Hey all, Having moved up to Ok from Louisiana a few years back I would like to think all that has given very needed things to Louisiana! I have been in touch with many from back home and many friends in Lafayette have up to 10 people, old friends from New Orleans now living with Them and they will keep them as long as need be! Could be up to a year that they may have them in thier homes! But us Cajuns take care of all our friends! We have been lucky that we have only one for sure that died there! But I know for the next year we will have many more! I will say this! The people of Louisiana are very pissed that the Goverment took five day's before they even gave water to people in need there! Anyway, Just a big thanks for all here for helping! Later royce.
Maldev
My father flew down to New Orleans this past weekend. They put him in charge of the triage unit at the airport, then transferred him to LSU when they finished up there. Right now, he's surrounded by nurses (he's a retired doctor) and the main thing they are missing now are mental health care experts. They have a dozen or more patients that are in need of mental health care experts and no one i sable to provide the support they need. If you know anyone that can spare the time in that field, tell them they are needed. Side Note: Since when did this forum have member death benefits? No power still in sulpher LA just a few miles from the Gulf...The devistation is worse than ya'll know, but the spirit of the people was one of strenght, perceiverance, hope and hospitality...The South will rise again ...Catfish
