  1. Wow! Love the replies. Mplate- I also love baseball and your journey is interesting. Planning to be in each city during a home game took some planning! Tip of the cap your way. Well done.
  2. Hey- Have any of you ever ridden the lower 48 state motorcycle route? I have done a little research on it and it appears to have several routes, with vastly different numbers of days to complete. I’m trying to find the best route and advice from someone who has done this before. our plan is to do this next summer, the summer of 2021. So we have lots of time to plan. Anyone like that on this list?
  3. Is the Raptor project and the Challenger project the same initiative?
  4. Well, it took 20 days from my purchase to receive the mufflers. They fit up with a little tweaking and had a scratch on the chrome. But, all in all, I am pleased. It is clear that the company has moved locations and it experiencing some delays in shipping. Hopefully, things will improve, but until then, buyer beware.
  5. I have always been a loyal Samson exhaust customer. In the last few years, I have read that the business is actively for sale. Not sure if it sold, or not. Over the years, I have purchased and installed many sets of their products, all with success and loved their quality and service, until now. Two weeks ago I ordered a set of 42 inch fishtail mufflers. I purchased them from the Samson Ebay store. The ad showed that they had three sets in stock, which turned out to be a lie. Today, I get an email saying they are waiting for parts to make my order. So, for the last two weeks essentially
  6. I enjoy going to Sturgis every 4 or 5 years. By then, I miss the Black Hills and have a longing to return. I was also there for the 75th Anniversary and that is, in part, why I am going this year, not next, which will be the 80th Anniversary. While I enjoy the crowd and all that is Sturgis, the 75th was a crowd like I had never seen before.
  7. I know it is early, but is anyone here going to Sturgis in August. I have a group going and always enjoy attending the Indian sponsored events. Would also enjoy meeting some of you who have helped me from this forum.
  8. I just received an email saying Indian of a Charlotte was having a Grand Reopening to celebrate their new ownership. Tim Sutherland and Lloyd Greer are the new owners. I cannot say enough good things about the prior owner, Mark Moses. He was supportive of Indian as much or more than any other dealer, and at times, more than the factory. Thank you Mark. You are the best. Best wishes Tim and Lloyd.
  9. I want to go, but haven't been able to convince any of my riding partners to join me. May go anyway!
  10. I could not agree more with CraigB1960. Referring to any 1 percent MC member as a "gang" member would be received as offensive. From your post, Glassguy2, I know you didn't intend it that way.
  11. I have a 2000 Chief. I wish PI serviced my bike, but I understand their reluctance. The initial primary reason I was slow to purchase a new Indian was that the dealer network wasn't very well established. Now, with it much better established, my reluctance is that the dealer network seems to be at dealerships that cater to 4wheelers and Japanese motorcycles. I fear the techs will be better trained with 4 wheelers, than Indians. I hope I am wrong.
  12. Well done Tom Kelley. I tip my hat to anyone who rides 27k miles annually. I fear that by the time I have the available time to ride that many miles, I will not be able to do it physically. Congrats.
