However, in step 9n left click "No"!
The "Readers Digest" version:
(Note: it's easier to use a laptop computer to update the ignition curve)
After you install the program, update the "smartlink.exe" file with the one that I
attached to this E-mail. Save the E-mail attachment (i.e.
smartlink.exe) to
this path: C:\Program Files\Thunder Heart Performance\Smart Link OE. A
dialog box will pop up that says the file already exists and asks
you if you
want to overwrite it. Respond by left clicking on the "Yes"
button and you
are done. This newer version will allow you to link to 2002/2003 and
earlier modules.
I have made available all of the ignition curves that I have
created at this
site: www.geocities.com/bmcvicke Here is a brief summary:
Ultimate - good all around curve for '99 - '01 Indians with S$S engines.
Harley Hunter - best performance curve for '99 - '01 Indians with S&S
engines (not as forgiving as the Ultimate curve for two-up riding, heavy
loads...etc.)
Ultimate PP02 - first pass at a performance curve for the 2002 Chief with
the PowerPlus 100.
Last but not least, you will need a cable. Call Brooke at ThunderHeart
Performance (615-672-8811) and ask for a SmartLink cable. The price is
around 25.00 dollars shipped. Or, if you want to build your own
curves you
can order the Profire software kit (comes wth the cable) under Drag
Specialties P/N DS-242442.
